I store mine standing because it takes up less table/floor space. I wouldn't think a beefy crank could warp from being flat on the ground a few months though.

someone call mythbusters.

Other than the fact that the graph is inverted, there isn't much of a difference, actually. :)

To be honest, I do end up driving up into the mountains now and then, even in the winter, which means colder temps where this can help. Seems more than a bit ironic to heat up the air that just came through an intercooler to cool it down, though.

That look exactly like the 7M I had built. Is the color you used on the block Dark Ford Blue? Very nice.
Yes, I think that's the exact color. :) I painted it silver - well, aluminum, anyhow - last time, and by the time it was done you couldn't tell. So I figured what the hell, if I'm going to paint something that you can't see, might as well make it a bit brighter!

Grim,

I recommend that you port, bead blast & coat your exhaust manifold. Better flow (that you'll notice) & the engine bay will be cooler too.

Hey Grim, where'd you get your machine work done? I'm looking at local places to get a head machined, deck surfaced/dunked, and want to compile places that know wtf they're doing with a 7M and for how much.
