More pics... got the rear main seal on, and the oilpan. If I'm lucky, and it's not raining TOO hard tomorrow, I might bolt up the clutch and tranny and drop the sucker back in the car tomorrow. :)

I left the stock fuel system on until I could figure out where the new stuff went. It's gone in the latest pictures. Speaking of pictures... Got a little help from a buddy today, and this was the result. :)

Fantastic progress!

I'm so envious of you right now, i want my engine to be done already!

Stupid missing pieces that take too long to arrive!

Can't wait to see a startup video! (hint hint nudge nudge :biglaugh:)

Is the crank pulley off for clearance?

did you manage to change the rear main seal while the motor was on the engine stand?

Also, is that a new wiring harness I see? Looks far too clean...

nice work

No, I had to lift the engine with the cherry picker, remove the stand, and then I could get at the rear main seal. I did put it back on the engine stand after that to do the oilpan and a few other bits. The wiring harness is the original one, however, I did recently rip off most of the loom and tape on it, then replace them both with new stuff. It's basically new. :)

Yeah I would swear that looks just like one of the ebay kits that I bought for my misc gaskets. I ended up buying many gaskets from Toyota. Some things that leak were the valve cover gaskets and the cps o-ring, just to name a few. I actually put my old v.c. gaskets on cause the were better.

Well, no pictures today. All the work accomplished was under the car, and taking photos under there is... well, not a trivial task. ;)

I did get some stuff done before the monsoon hit, basically hooked up everything underneath from the transmission back - ground wire, driveshaft, clutch slave, crossbrace, third engine mount, clutch fork, speedo cable, all done.

The monsoon ended, and the sun actually peeked through for a couple hours. So naturally I went back outside, scrunched down on the wet aggregate driveway, and got some more work done. :)

Installed the fancy new CPS cover from ARZ, too. That thing is just plain AWESOME. Check out the total wreck that my stock piece was when I took it off!
