yes and no . Yes i was mad at previous owner because after i bought my 89' supra , i found out that only water in radiator no oil changed no coolling fan shroud ; broken coolling fan bad cooling fan clutch ,broken flywheel studs blown head gasket , exhaust manifold studs stripped out and whole lot more. it costed me alot of money to restore. I paid him $2000 No i'm not mad at him because i love supra,( turbo + stick shift) is very rare around my area . I just got my 57trim clipped 10 degree from Performance Technique and ton of other goodies that ready to make 350-400 at rwh. Proud to be supra owner and proud tobe Supramania member!

the last owner of my car was great, he bought the car from his best friend who was the orginal owner. he had everysingle reciept for the car since it was purchased from the dealership. the car had only ever been touched by toyota. the guy was so confident that the car was perfect when he rode with while i test drove he told me drive it like i stole it. it had a recent jdm engine, new brakes, targa seals and everything.

I don't really have any problems with the previous owner of my current supra. Everything was pretty much like he said. I'm just and idiot and boosted to much with a smoking turbo and killed 3 pistons. I was taking apart my dash yesterday and found an 8mm socket though, I thought that was funny. The pervious owner of my first supra was an idiot though. It was an 87 hardtop n/a that I got for $1200. It had a freshly rebuilt motor that he could never get to start. Turned out the ignition was no good along with the fuel pump. So I got it running in a few days, he also destroyed the interior. It was two tone brown with gold trim pieces inside. After some black paint and a momo steering wheels it actually looked pretty good. That one is sold now though. :(

just because I spent an almost all nighter at my shop dicking with the harness I'm going bitch about it.. ever seen I air line quick connect as the water line to the turbo? well I have. jeffro thought it would work. the harness is old but I have hope in it. course dude thought you could do a bhg repair with a freeze plug missing. long story short I'm still figuring out how the shit goes back togerher. at least the harness kinda falls in place. although I'm getting a headache with coolant harness lines... nothing wants to fit good. ahh I'll be glad when I can drive it. six months of owning the car and never drove it.

lets see...the gallon of white house paint that was spilled in the hatch area. But hey,my new carpet set came in yesterday from Auto Custom Carpets..sucks that thats the only way that you can get the hatch carpet is if you buy the complete set.The burgandy touch up paint that was used where it was keyed,on a red car,the busted wiring harness, but the best of it all is the electrical taped vaccum lines....:icon_mad:

I'm a little mad at him, and a little at myself for not checking it out a little more before I bought it. All in all, it was in ok shape. He didn't maintain it very well, I did a full tune up (spark plugs, new intake, wires, fuel filter, etc) Then I replaced all the fluids, and after that it drove really well. He also decided to cut off the exhaust halfway under the car, which wasn't a big deal, but for some reason he bent the pipe down, so I would shoot sparks out the back end every time I hit the bottom of a hill too fast, lol. Eventually I bought a used stock catback, and then that was good. Also, he removed the spare tire in favor of a 10" subwoofer. That pissed me off a little because I neglected to check for that. I think thats pretty much it, so it could've been alot worse.

yea kinda mad for starters they put a gay barry grant autozone steering wheel in my car and when they had the shocks replaced whoever replaced them took the tems motors off and cut the harness.....the plug was like 2 inches away, he also decided drywall screws into the fender would be the best for holding the mud flap gaurd thingamajigger on.

he was supposed to send me more paperwork about the motor rebuild and then vanished off the face of the earth but the car runs fine its never failed me so overall im happy but just the little things while i was working on the car that kinda pissed me off because i love supras and only an idiot could do such things.

I like this thread... its like the "hey I got gomer plie setup too" its just been interesting.. like when I was putting coolant in to start it coolant shot out the lower intake... never knew that was a coolant passage there, at least I had another head sitting around so I could stop shitting bricks. now a pick in pull session is needed to get that coolant stem on the lower intake..

i agree its funny as hell but damn... they just keep poppin up out of nowhere. we seriously have to figure out what the one on the driver side does before we have a malfunction. oh yeah... an alternator at napa is about 150 bucks.

The previous owner of mine used it as a DD, I bought it thinking it needed a tune-up, when actually it needs a HG and retimed lol.

They at least put a conefilter on it, and tried to do the AFM hack. At least the body is straight w/ no rust and the interior is decent.. lol

I'm not complainin about only payin a grand for it.

im not mad that the tems is gone ive had tems before and its ok this car has KYB GR2's on it so im not mad that tems is gone im mad that they cut the panels with like a butter knife heated by a torch or somethin and couldnt just unplug the motors they had to cut the harness after the plug.

he also spliced into the plug for the antenna where you couldnt fix it without some major wiring but we fixed it and still kept the stock plug! :)

and no thats not rust i about shit my pants when i saw it too its some type of red clay ive since cleaned it out :)
