I just wasted 15 mins of my life reading this thread.
Haha seriously, guys, everyone obviously has different opinions on what 'real drifting' is and how crappy 240's are (apparently).
Lets just let this die, iight guys?
Can't we all just get along?
edit: Yes, this is my first car, and yes, I've tried drifting it a bit, it is a bitch to control, though I have had some pretty smooth ones. Just takes practice, since some arfe talking about the MkIII not being such a great drifting car, oh, btw, its a bone stock manual, and I've done it at 30mph in 2nd just by flooring it. It can be done...
JENNY! said:DONT DO THAT TO A SUPRA! get a beatup 240 for 700 bucks, throw some suspension on it and get it running well and vwala! even i got sideways easy in one... but it didnt help that i was pushing 13psi....:evil2:
edit. but, personally. dont get into drifting, it's what every 16 yearold and their honda civic that has blinged out rims is doing. unless you have the funds/time, its a waste.

i totaly agree and u have to hold the slide if it a drift.iwannadie said:i like them, they pull the ebrake around turns and call it a drift. they skid around and come to a stop usually. its good fun to see that.
also to me, drifting is not when you step on the gas and get the back end to slid around a turn. thats just swinging the back end around. i do that like everyday pulling into work just for fun and to show off the RWD:evil2: . i think a real drift your car is already sideways adn wheels spinning before the actual turn.
