I tried to use v4.65 and it was a littly questionable to me.. But I have been running 4.63 just fine.. The tip in is tied back to the tps enrich, tps delay and the low/mid tune. Make sure your dashpot is working right as well.. I have my idle at about 15.1 to 15.3 @650-670 rpm. I am using the Innovate WB. My stock O2 is reading around 2.5 or so..

Are leaving your o2 sensor plugged in and running in open loop after warm up?

What is your mainscale setting, and low , mid load settings?

My stock O2 is still in and plugged in..

I have a Aeromotive adj FPR and Running 550's. I am running a little rich around 10 afr's so I need to back a little out on the mid high tunes.
Here are some of my settings. If it's a little hard to read increase the window size..

well i updated to 4.63 and had to re-tune every thing again. first start up and my car was running 9.6 afr's at idle i attempted to adjust main scale didn't seem to help at first, but after i got the tuner pro to load the settings off the maft, the start emulatin i was able to lean her out some, and then i pulled 20% fuel from 400-800 rpm's and 13% at 12-16

car is still runnin pig rich. and im affaird im going to ruin another w/b by runnin to rich. this sucks at times.... stupid codes..

lean tip in did seem to go away for the mot part, still spiks some lean, but doesn't go drasticly.

Add one more MAft pro.
Ver 4.4 works great on my car. TO4E /550's made 422RWHP @ 19psi on a really, really crappy dyno run. I have a rebuild thread for mod details.

Version 4.63 gave me surge problems which I never figured out. Same AFR sweeping htat someone else described. I re-flashed back to 4.4 and will live with it until I have some time to mess with it.

WOW GUYS,, AWESOME THREAD. here is what i plan on doing. i'm going to open a thread in the FAQ reguarding the MAFTPRO and tuning only.. i would like to get a database for all this stuff. i think we can all learn a bunch from each other.

as well i know, i was the first to run the pro in the MK3 :)... any i hae mess with all the vesrion and i find that my car runs best on 4.20. my pro is sold old it came with version 4.01.. lol..

but yea, on the 4.20 i get a 14.7 idle, car goes to closed loop after warming up, etc.. i did my 543rwhp numbers on the 4.20 version. i did run the 4.65 and i had problems with it, however i had electrical problems at the same time..

let's keep this thread going. . :)

i was going to start another thread, but i think it would be best to have as much info in one thread instead of scattered about.

for those who dont know, you can now monitor and log egt data w/ the maftpro.

all you need is the AEM egt probe adapter kit found here:
http://www.o2simulator.com/AEMEGTADAPTER.html

and a K type egt probe.

the most inexpensive K type i have found is the SW summit sells ($52)

http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=SWW-114653&N=700+115&autoview=sku

thought this might be helpful for those who arent sure what you need to make this work. i believe the more data you have the better! and the best part about it is you can monitor and log all the info from various sensors from a single unit and not have 1,478 seperate gauges in the car.

edit- removed pics. for some reason they keep expanding to poster size when i copy here.

I'm curious if anyone had surge problems using m-pro for boost control, sounds like rich does, his turbo lasted a couple months, I roached a new 62-1 in 2 months, and I watched BigAarons video and heard that thing sounding just like mine, he runs 62-1 also. Im going to run off wastegate spring at 10 psi when I get it running (hopefully this weekend), then try with boost controller, and Im sure its something I need to change in B/C settings. I have a Tial and an SSQV.

Im also wondering if it would be worthwhile to start a thread of what settings we are running and what mods we have, as well as why we changed something, and how it improved. There would obviously need to be the understanding that everyone's setup is different, not to just copy so and so cuz he has a t66 too. I will be running this weekend, racing in 2 weekends, if I'm happy with everything, I will start it off with mine. I will give detailed mod list and where i found the changes I made most effective. Running 4.63 now, probably sticking with it as its working good and cured my Tip in problems.

Glad to see I am not alone in the maf pro tuning game.

I feel I am getting closer to finding the common denominator, but don't quite
feel warm and fuzzy about pulling a gear to redline, as when I did try we hit fuel cut at about 6 lbs. Running the afm during the day (to and from work) and trying to tune at night at least until my blutz nur spec starts to annoy my neighbors. ha ha
