Because the TSRM is not 100% informative, you can't get techniques on how to install things, or make do with what you have from a TSRM. TSRM works fine if you have all of the special tools also it doesn't say to lubricate things a certain way from what I can recall like I have been told on here. This is also a good way for me to double or triple check.

any who
remove fuel rail, replace the o ring, lubricate it(or dip in gas...i have never done this but have heard of others doing it)
check for leaks

so your saying fuel is leaking around 1 of these tabs?

you can clearly see(shitty pic FTW :) ) that these are just mounting tabs

Alright now that I know for sure those areas don't have any places for fuel to come out then it has to be the injector in that area and I bet it's not seated properly. I will remove them all, lube them up with vaseline or gas then put them back in.

Jetjock, there really is no need to be a dick I expect that crap from Supraforums not Supramania, people on this forum have been very nice and helpful and I made this thread on that forum as well and not 1 single reply. I am very grateful for everyone who has helped me out with this repair as I have said before if it weren't for them I probably would have had larger issues. TSRM is never the only thing you need, experienced people who are willing to help do a better job.

Alright I removed the fuel rail and checked out injector 1, which was wet from the leak and I am pretty sure that is the culprit because the thick rubber at the end of it where the nozzle is fell apart when I removed the fuel rail and when I removed the injector the O ring was shredded a bit but the others were all fine. Where can I get these? I need the thick rubber at the end by the nozzle and a new O ring for the part that goes into the fuel rail.

for comparison on what I am missing

I got a full set of injector gaskets, grommets, and basket filters on Ebay for less then $30 iirc. They were great quality as well.

I am trying to get them the same day if not then next morning. Would be perfect if I could get the car running this weekend.

take the injector missing the o-ring/grommet and take one that still has them both and go to autozone. see if they can find you appropriate sized rubbers.

What exactly are basket filters and where are they?

Thanks J_S I will be taking the injectors to autozone and if they don't have it, Advanced auto, and last resort O'reilly.

They are on the top of the injector. They are a little basket with a screen that acts like a sort of filter. Mine were horrible. The screens were almost completely filled with shit. Needless to say it will reduce fuel flow if they are too muffed up. Could be another possible reason for leaking at the top of the injector(increased pressure with low flow).

Yea I get that but are they inside of the fuel rail and on top of the injector when they are in the fuel rail? I didn't see any screen filters on top of the injectors when I took them out and put them in that is why I am thinking they are inside of the fuel rail.

Nope, they are actually on top of the injector itself. In the center of the top where fuel enters the injector. It just looks like a small hole on top about the size of an eraser head. You pop them out. They are usually in there pretty snug, and are easy to damage when removing so be careful if you don't want to actually replace them, but I would.

Ooohhhhh yea I was looking at the injector and saw a gold ring and thought that might be it. I'll look into replacing those, thanks. Hopefully the auto parts stores near me have the grommets and O rings I need because other than this fuel leak the car is ready to roll I think I fixed the oil leak by replacing the O ring on the oil dipstick but once I can actually run the motor to see if it's still leaking is when I will know for sure.

Thanks, I am very excited to drive her again but this time before I do I am going to replace the shifter bushing lol. I have been putting that off because I put these leaks at the top of my list of priorities with the car but after I am done that bushing is being changed before driving.
