Yea I got that part down, some fuel spat out from the regulator like blow off valve while I was cranking it a friend of mine said I should have teflon tape on it, so I am doing that now.

Yea I have those on there I think the problem is it's not on there tight enough, the washer and O ring looks fine maybe a bit old but they should work because when I had the BHG it wasn't spraying gas everywhere, then again would the BHG relieve some fuel pressure from the fuel rail?

Think about what u just said lol
See when the o ring is compressed for many years and you loosen it up it stays in that form
So when u reinstalled it...now its not making a seal bc its already been compressed
But the copper washer should keep it from leaking as well

I would replace o ring

Yea I was thinking the same thing after I put everything up lol. Where can I get a new O ring? Like Ace Hardware or auto parts stores?

Yup, seems like autozone has a bunch of O rings for fuel pressure regulators.

you can buy a box full of various o-ring sizes. very useful. you could have used one of these generic o-rings on your oil dipstick instead of putting FIPG in a very hard to reach/clean spot. :(

also, i hope you replaced all the o-rings on your injectors! really, you should have replaced any rubber o-rings you found during disassembly. prevents problems like the one you have run recently run into with the fuel pulsation damper.

Yea every O ring I had I replaced especially with the injectors along with every gasket I also cleaned and replaced.

Well it turns out where I thought it was leaking, from the regulator, was not where it was actually leaking it is leaking from the spacer on the fuel rail right next to it those black and silver spacers it is only leaking from one. Do I need a new one or is there something I can do to fix it?

those spacers are only that
JUST SPACERS
they dont do anything but space the fuel rail from the head so injectors can be overtightened(squeezed)
did you replace the fuel injector o rings? if no then you need to do that
if you did replace them did you put a thin film of oil/grease/ky jelly on the rings before seating injectors?

I replaced the O rings on every injector, cleaned up the spacers, then put them in. If they are just spacers then how is fuel spraying out from it lol

What is Fwiw? and replace the O ring on the spacer? I don't remember seeing O rings on those.

I did not put grease or oil on the injectors O rings, TSRM didn't say to do any of that. So I have to remove the fuel rail and lube up the O rings and spacers then put it back and test it for leaks, how?

Because the TSRM is not 100% informative, you can't get techniques on how to install things, or make do with what you have from a TSRM. TSRM works fine if you have all of the special tools also it doesn't say to lubricate things a certain way from what I can recall like I have been told on here. This is also a good way for me to double or triple check.

i didnt lube my o-rings. i just dipped them in gasoline. that works well enough. also, there is no way the spacers is where you are leaking unless you have a ruptured fuel rail. if that is the case, you will need to replace the rail, as no amount of grease is going to fix it. ;)

double check your leak source.

In that case then it might be from something right under the spacer, perhaps I did not connect the injector into the fuel rail quite right. I will remove the fuel rail and inspect it further.
