I'm glad I ordered two lower ball joints because they were both bad. The passenger side was much worse...

At this point, all of the stock struts are out, all four rotors off, both lower ball joints replaced, and the two front coilovers are installed.

Here are the rotors. They are headed to my buddy's shop tomorrow for turning.

And here's the other front coilover. The driver's side...

lol :D a little secret of mine... nah i actually got on the comp printed off the logo cut the SUPRA part out of it and kinda made it arch a little to follow the rotor then after painting the whole rotor i came back with a fine tip paint brush, put some paint in a lid and painted in the open area. OF COURSE you kinda have to study the logo and do some of it freehand but i get the general gist down with a SORTA stencil then when i repaint i just cover the logo and do touchup with brush after the majority of the caliper is done.

FINALLY swapped my 1j tach into the car and i have a working RPM gauge now... :D SOOO happy

Very Nice! Was the tach swap a plug and play thing?

ya i guess haha. i put the 1j in 3 years ago and just left the NA tach in and it never worked. i always figured my wiring was wrong lol. after FINALLY finding the right thread i was told i just needed a turbo tach, from the 7mgte or the 1j so i had to swap the tach mechanism to the LHD light refractor so it would fit in the cluster and i also used the 1j tach so no it shows redline at the correct 7k and no more ECT or O/D lights haha.

cant wait to see the pics with the coilovers. and dang sucks i cant turn mine haha.

to any followers of this thread who might know... anyone have an answer to my most recent post here.... http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?76463-Comprehensive-Lighting-Modification-Thread/page10

You can also solder out a resistor on the NA tach and then put a wire in it's place to connect both terminals.

There is a right up that I was reading right here on SupraMania.

Kenny, do you plan on getting a Willwood kit from AP anytime soon? That is on my list before driving my car for the Summer...

The Wilwood Kit is definitely in my sights; but, a little ways off yet. That's a big chunk to let go of at once! Hence, my efforts at making the stockers look better till I can spring for it. :)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I got my rotors back. My buddy didn't turn the rears because one of them would've been beyond minimum spec. So, here are the fronts. They turned out pretty nicely...

So, here's what I've done while waiting for parts...

This is my template for painting the hats of the rotors.

And here are the rear seats removed. Didn't the previous owner treat things nice? :( It looks like a Tasmanian Devil was turned loose back there...

What are you waiting for Ken? What colour are you painting the rotor tops? I guess you're resurfacing the seats? They are pretty bad. Looks like my drivers side! :nono:

I'll be painting them black. Yesterday and last night, we had 70 mph wind gusts and today we are still at ~50 mph gusts. There are two things you don't do in wind like that. Pee or Paint. ;)

I've always wanted to re-upholster the seats; but, I have lines on a stock set that are in great shape.

Sweet, I know what you mean with the wind. I live in FL. They aren't 50 miles an hour, but we have like 30 mile an hour gust off the gulf. And theres nothing stopping them. And I do all my work in a carport, so its like a tornado in there lol.
