How come you kept the EGR? I would of removed it and used the japanese ECU. You are using a MAFT pro, so you could have tuned it to where you would have lean issues. The EGR to me just is an eye sore. I know I might get flammed for this but why not remove it if you have the option to tune the car to compensate for it.

The polishing work looks good though. So you sanded it smooth with 1500 grit and then 2000 grit and then hit it with polish? Was it wet sanded? What polish did you use?

Where did you get your seats? Sparco or are is the harness just a Sparco one?

Leaving the EGR is cheap insurance. That outweighs the cluttered look. ;)

The polishing work was all done 'Dry'. The grit progression went like this: 400>800>1000>1500>2000>Polish. I used only one stage of polish. The Rouge.

The 1500>2000>Polish was only done to the rear alternator plate because it is REALLY smooth to begin with.

Yes, those are Sparco seats and Harnesses. They came with the car. I was amazed at how comfortable they are!

Looking good ken! I feel a tunning party comming up. What clutch did you go with? HD or EX pressure plate and FF or 6 puck disk?------to lazy to search while Im in class

You know I'll be up for a cruise once I hit the 500 mile mark! Will I be going to Pullman or Spokompton? Where's your car?

The clutch is ACT XTSS. It's the HD PP w/FF Disk. It's rated for 550 ft.lb.tq. I wasn't sure about the pedal feel at first; but, I got used to it really quickly.

Ok, no problem Ken. Was not flaming you, just asking. The Rouge is the brand that you used for polish? Which Sparco seats are they? Fighter?

No no...I know you didn't have your Flame Thrower going! :)

'Rouge' is the color. Basic polishing kits usually come with two bars. A White Bar and a Brown Bar (aka:Rouge). The brown bar is the first stage and the white is the second stage. The white being finer for higher gloss.

Whenever I use the white, it seems to almost dull what I've just done with the brown. So, I have just been using the brown. I don't know...maybe I'm doing it wrong! :D All of what you see in my engine bay was done with the Rouge bar only.

EDIT: Sorry. I missed part of your question. I don't know what Sparco's they are. They are the Tan and Black ones. If that indicates anything...

So, I have a few rattles to take care of. Here's one. The IC pipe is hitting the sway bar.

And on to the solution... Here's some 1/8" aluminum bar stock that has been bent to accommodate my 2.5" IC pipe.

The plan is to use the conveniently located threaded tab just above the coupler. :)

Here is some single sided sticky foam that I used to line the inside of the brace so it doesn't cut into the coupler.

And here it is all mounted up.

With aluminum it doesnt take much, which is why i use it for custom brackets wherever I can.

and for the weight saving of course!

Ken did you get the clutch from driftmotion? Is the HD or the Extreme the stiffer pressure plate? I thought the ff disc combo was only rated for 400 some ftlb tq

Edit: oh and where I will be depends on when you make the trip over, my car is at my parents place so if its on a weekend we could tune in spokane

How did you get to bend the hanger so easily? I would like to do that for my intercooler piping on top by the strut tower.

It's easy to do. All you need is a vice (optional; but, makes it easy) and then bend it around the same size pipe you're wanting to secure. As the Geico commercial says....."Easy squeezy lemon peezy." Or something like that... :)

I did not buy it from DM. I like Aaron and he gets 95% of my business; but, I found it muuuuch cheaper elsewhere. The part number for the clutch I got is TS2-XTSS. The XT has a higher clamp rating than the HD. And yep...it's rated at 522.

It will for sure be a weekend. Maybe I can get my buddy to bring his Soup with me.

might have to pm me where you got it from ;) I give aaron what business I can and he has really helped me out in the past, but sometimes you have to go with whats best for your wallet. Just let me know when you guys are thinking of heading over as soon as you know and I'll free my weekend up.

Good to hear you went with the ACT XTSS. I'm still loving mine, it's still baby smooth like stock, and it's held 503 rwtq as well as several burnouts and heavy driving ;) . I SURE don't miss the annoying jerky chatter and shuddering of a 6-puck.

I have the info on my desk at work. If I remember, I'll PM it to you on Monday. If I forget......well, then remind me! :)

Yeah, I'll let you know... Thanks Ryan!

Your recommendation for it sealed the deal for me. Aside from a little stiffer pedal, it's a dream!
