why does it look so bad like there is a huge non contact area on the picture posted above somewhere.

I'm on cobra breaks, and I have made them fade at the track. All the talk about cross drill being no good.. Why are all porsches, and even my IS-F drilling rotors? Looks? Are you 100% sure on this?

Just picked these up for $30 after tax from a local salvage. Off an 02 S430

Unless they are forged that way. Yes. Google the question.

I just installed this setup on my soarer and everything bolted up perfect but my wheel (17x8 +35) would not clear the spokes.does anyone know if na mkiv fronts will clear? Or maybe sawblades with a 5mm spacer?

all rotors are cast andthe holes are drilled afterwards. no rotors are cast with holes, this would be virtually impossible. drilled holes are simply chamfered to minimize stress. and yes, oem drilled rotors will certainly crack from the holes.

Anyone have the part number for the caliper fitting for the brakeline? Seems mine didn't come with a 90* off the caliper, just a threaded hole...

Mine was the same. I re-used the stock banjo bolt and fitting on the stock brake lines but they seemed too short or too kinked and I couldn't reattach the small 2-bolt bracket that mounts to the hub/knuckle. I ziptied the bracket and bled the brakes enough for a quick test drive before replacing with Goodridge lines. Same thing on those, a banjo bolt and fitting that will thread into the Merc calipers. They're a little longer than stock lines so I was able to put the factory brackets/clips back in place. I found the brake lines were the only confusing part of this mod, but in the end it worked out for me.

Dm also sells some longer brake lines that are used with the cobra bbk. Used those on my friends car and everything bolted up.

What pads are you using?

Oem Mercedes pads usually don't squeak.

If they were new maybe you didn't break them in properly?
