Wiring harness is going to be stripped, cleaned up, re-wrapped, and any unused plugs removed (EGR, VSVs, etc.):

That short shifter is nice! I'm really wanting to see how your wiring harness turns out. Are you referring to the manual (wiring diagram) for removal of unneeded wires? The diagram isn't the easiest thing to read, to me at least.

I speak for everyone when I say we need more pictures!

Take a lot of pictures when doing the harness whenever you are depinning anything. It will help you to keep the wires in the correct order.

Aeromotive A1000 along with the 100 and 10 micron filters (not cheap!... :/)

Oil pan modified with kickouts, trap doors, and a -10 AN turbo drain. Also had a custom sump added to the stock tank with two -10 AN ports. Thanks to Wes @ Beech Performance for the great job on these!

Most of the wires I'm removing go straight back to the ECU plugs, so they are just getting pulled and capped by the ECU. Anything that's different I'll be referring to the TSRM.

More pictures of anything in particular? I thought I was taking too many pictures as it is :p. Good tip on taking a picture when depinning, though I don't know how many I'll really need to depin, maybe just the ones where the wire is exposed by the connector.

Haha I just took a look at your build. We do have quite a lot of similarities...except for the whole 2JZ/7M thing :).

Hello, do you have any MAFT-Pro files to share? Mainly your 57trim tune.

I can post my MAFT Pro settings (basic configuration to accommodate the 7M) when I have the car back together, but the actual tune I wouldn't recommend using since every engine is different. It should really be tuned from the baseline (user tune zero'd out first) to be safe.

I'm interested in your response tune & Enhanced Throttle settings, My map is pretty good but I still get that lean spike.

Thanks, T

Ah, OK sure. I'll see if I still have those saved on my laptop. I feel your pain, it was not fun getting those set up properly! IIRC I have the ETPS configured to go open loop as soon as it makes positive pressure. This was the only way I could get rid of the lean spike.

I'm going to play around with the timing monitor/control this year. I got it wired in last year but didn't have time to do anything with it. I have a feeling my mainscale is throwing my timing off quite a bit.

Everything should be coming back from the machine shop this Friday! Now I just need to get my fuel system installed. In the meantime, the valve covers have been stripped:

Before:

Aircraft paint stripper is some SERIOUS stuff. After 10 minutes:

After. Still trying to decide if I want to polish or paint.

Can I make a suggestion on the valve covers? Grind off the letters and stripes.. then maybe weld some aluminum to the section that divets down. and make it flush.

would look pretty nice.. also tap the PCV hose outlets and tap in or weld on some AN fittings (you would also need to drill out and tap the baffles for cleaning) . and use some nylon lines for the catch can ;)

Just did a little catching up on your build. Im likin what i see! We have some good familiarites. I posted pics of my bracket in my build for you. Your going to love the cams! When i put mine in i almost shit my pants they way it changed the car. Are you going to keep running maft pro? Just food for thought you could get the 48 proefi for 1100 shipped from horsepowerfreaks with the sensors ecu and harness pin kit. Dont know if you have been looking into standalones or not.

All good ideas. If I get time I'll have some AN fittings put in the valve covers. Otherwise it will be shelved for a future date. :)

Thanks for the pics, that helps a lot!

Unfortunately I won't have anything to compare the cams too as I'm doing a laundry list of other stuff at the same time. I'm going to keep running the Maft Pro for now, I have a feeling I will be maxing out its capabilities though. I think the stock rev limiter will be the biggest annoyance, I would prefer to rev this one out to ~7500 with the BW turbo. I've had standalones in the back of my mind for a while now. Funny you mention it, as I have been eyeing the ProEFI :). I'm very intrigued about the flex fuel capability (E85 isn't terribly commonplace around here) and I know several 7M setups have popped up recently running that ECU.
