The R32 is also over my price range...and still heavier than a Mk3 :p

Automatics are WRONG. I learned in a manual and have only ever driven manuals. I cannot break the habit of wanting to keep using a clutch - i don't like it when a gearbox decides when i should shift up....*I* want to decide.

Although that soarer looks good....but the same price as the aforementioned Skyline which i have a feeling would be a fair bit quicker :/

I got an 88, turbo, 2+2 with digital dash... it doesn't get any more reliable than that.

Tho I dont even know if you can get them in the UK... I sure haven't seen any in Germany but then I also have never seen any supras in Germany even tho they exist.

I don't quite know what you mean with squiffy but my bf had an 86 that he regularly drove without oil, no problems. He had a fucked radiator and it would puke out all the water in no time, so he just kept some bottled water with him and filled it up once the check engine light came on, no engine problems. He actually tried to kill it once, put it up on stands and let it run forever without oil and it wouldn't die. It ran out of gas instead. I forget what else he did but one thing is for sure, he shit kicked that car...
My 88 threw a couple of belts and you didn't even know until you got home, my electric fan failed once and it would overheat on a regular basis, no problems after it got fixed. Right now it has a bad oil leak, the tranny is fucked, the electrical is messed up, the under carriage I don't even wanna look at (I lost my muffler the other day, lol).... yet it still drives relatively fine if you ignore the obvious tranny issue.

The only thing that really sucks with 300zxs is the electrical. And as usual rust if you are living in a rainy part of the world.

I've never been through a drive-'thru' in my life...i'm more concerned with the fact that the steering wheel is ON THE WRONG SIDE and shifting with my right hand instead of my left is going to take some getting used to. As well as car parks - i dont fancy the fiasco of leaning across the car to get a ticket out :/

Autoadvan looks to be getting a telephone call today! :D

Yep, i've got my heart set on that R33 GTR...i may not end up getting it though, dependant on what the answer on the other end of the phone is - so keep up the suggestions!

I've thought over and over about getting an RX7. ;)

I'm not a GTR fan, RB motors are so over hyped. IMNSHO. The JZ motors are vastly superior.

Edit: You're in England and have a left hand drive car? o_O

Be aware the Rotary motors need a lot of tlc. But there's plenty of motor options for them. :)

The 3 Rotor swap would haul ass.

The Lancia Delta Integrale and E30 M3 were LHD only, and arrived in small quantities through the dealerships that would deal in grey-imports.

Over hyped? From what i've read, 600hp on stock internals is 'easy' due to the cast in bracing and whatnot...

I've looked at the RX7's but the only one i can really forsee myself being happy with would be a Series 5 FC Turbo, the FD shape never sat well with me...but then, overly jellymoulded shapes are something i frown upon anyway...

Well. Lemme Clarify It's the ricers wet dream of a motor in the states. To me, i wonder how long Cast Factory Pistons and Hitachi Electronics can stand up to 600hp. (Being as they were as in production during the "JZ"/13B era i expect more from a flagship motor in terms of beef, and at least coatings on factory pistons) ;)

Don't like the shape of the R33. But OMG R32 and R34. (Never Driven One)

But E30 Coupe is nice. (They Feel show to me though) :dunno:

God the Lancia is Ugly. (Don't know jack about this, but damn a google search 404 Ugly Found) ;)

FC RX7's are nice, but not as nice interior as the MK3. Think of it as a MK2 interior. (Not "dissing" the MK2 interior, thats what it feels like to me.) ;)

Are you a Fan of the Z32? (also thought about this once.)

For a fun car, follow your heart, and not your gut. ;)

Wet Noodle Crank? Explain!

R33 and R34 look virtually identical from the outside...and on the inside, barring the computer on the R34.

The Lancia is UGLY? Good job i'm not italian, i'd have to send the cosa nostra around for that ;)

OMG I just confused the E30 for the E36.

Just get the E30 and don't look back!!! (Or the GTR)

I'd love one. So badass, and rare here. :D

Edit: 404 Pic Not found. ;)
