I believe you're thinking of the wrong one.
Not sure if you got these over there:
4WD, 280+ brake and a lot of the trick technology from an EVO. Add in the Sleeper status and I think you're on to a bit of a winner
Kai, what exactly is this next car going to be for? If you've already got the Focus as the daily and the Supra for high power thrills, do you really need another Jap supercar? I'd have thought the next logical step would have been something small, light and with excellent handling? Or maybe even a very very quick 4 door Sleeper luxury Saloon? (Cars such as an Aristo or a E34/E39 M5 spring to mind).
The E30 sort of ticks the handling boxes, but I haven't been too impressed with the handling of my 316i Touring (more or less the same suspension setup as a 325i + the bonus of 50/50 weight distro), Although I'm not going to lie, they are VERY good fun - I had a massive smile on my face after my last track day. Heck, even now after selling it on ebay for a tidy profit I'm tempted to tell the buyer not to collect and use it as a daily for myself. I'd watch out of size though, being a chubbier than average guy, I've never found getting in and out of older BMWs as a particularly very graceful experience . I is sort of on . If you're going to buy a E30, buy now as prices seem to be on the increase - My Touring sold on the bay for 5 times what I bought it for 3 months ago (granted, I only paid £100 for it, but still ).
I have been a passenger many a time in a R33 GTS-T and don't rate skylines too much - It felt slow (even from a standing full beans start it didn't have that 'Push in the back' that I was expecting) and the interior is bloody awful - Cramped, the dashboard on the passenger side is depressingly dull and the word 'Legroom' simply does not exist in the back of a R33 Skyline.
I'd suggest something along the lines of a MX5 or a MK1 or 2/3Gen MR2, although if you can fit or not is entirely a different story :icon_bigg.
