I have gave no love to the sup, she just sits in the heated garage at 65 degrees. But I did get the V cleaned up, since it will also sit next to the sup most of the winter. No need for winters on the V this year, Im just going to drive the grand prix this winter.

Although I did a score a sweet deal on another AFM and 1990' TSRM. I think I will just resell the AFM. ( a local owner needs a AFM). The TSRM I think I will just add to the collection :)

About the only thing we can do with the sound system now is make the rear sub box. Other wise it would need to wait till you roll cage is installed other wise we would just be re-removing the speakers and head unit when you bring it in to get welded in. Just need 2 sheets of 3/4" MDF (2'x4') if you want one like mine. But you also need to know what sub you want to use.

Im guessing you dont want any earth shaking bass, but something that sounds good. I would recommend a 10" for you, something like these with a power range right in the middle of the spectrum and good over all performance.

Those are Greg's spacers ;) (Same person that made the turbo, owner of supraport). I could just drive down to his shop and pick one up with the longer studs.

There is plenty of clearance between the shock tower and the turbo / waster gate actuator to fit a 1/2 spacer. I will look into a spacer.

Also any one else on here running a Boss Sr. Turbo? I wouldn't mind seeing your set up and thoughts on it.

I guess I'm a late subscriber to this thread but I have the same turbo as you. Have you had a chance to test it out yet?

I'll put fourth some input once I put the insurance back on. Been building this baby up for the last 4 months so its been sleeping in the garage all this time.

Just a quick list of what Im running:
Lipp Boss Stage 5 GTS Gt61
Full 3" Turbo back exhaust
High flow cat
HKS VPC
Apexi SAFC2
High flow IC and hardpipes
550cc Injectors
walbro
Aeromotive AFPR
and so on....

Rob just got that turbo at the end of this driving season so that means he'll have it up and running this spring.

Rob- I suggest you start figuring out what you're doing as far as engine control goes. I'd love to hear the plans you have for your computer, whether it be MAP-ECU, AEM, MoTeC, stinger, etc...

Give me a call the next time you need help doing something- I owe you at least a case by now, right?

Nope not yet. Like what toyotanos said I just pick it up last fall, so I will get it on some time here this winter.

As for a computer, Im still not sure yet. More then likely it will be a AEM unless I find a good deal on another standalone.

Ya I haven't had any $$$$ this last month for the supra  it has been getting spent on x-mas gifts, x-mas stuff, and stuff like that has took up most my cash.

Well still haven't done much to the sup. But I did score a mint 89 owners manual and owners guide. Whoo!!! Just something to add to the collection of supra "stuff".

And since there is plenty of snow up here in Mn, I pick up a 1998, A/C zr500, snow machine! It has been pretty fun so far. Well it was fun right up until the recoil decided to grenade on it self  I got it everything else fixed up on the sled now just waiting to find a recoil. None local at this time.

artic cat? wtf rob!

btw i no longer need a 440 fan, i picked up a race prepped 91 polaris rxl stroked 650 fuel injected with a megasquirt micro ecm and lots of extras. very very quick, so quick it is actually hard to hold on to it at full throttle from a dead stop!, gonna part the 94 indy

with only 550 miles on it for a whopping $300, gotta love "practice" sleds

Snowmobile? Really? Comon, focus your money and energy on the Supra instead. Can you tell how I feel about snowmobiles?

Bah. I can work and spend $$$$, and work on the supra all spring, summer, fall, winter long. You can only ride a sled maybe 2 months of the year. Also there is no huge hurry to work on/ finish the sup. Plus many more parts are needed to finish it.

I have always been a fan of A/C. Not so much the polaris. At least I can remove the recoil on a A/C with out removing the motor mount bolts to pry the motor up. All that work just because they put they put the bulk head in the way of the bottom bolt. Shit they still did the same thing on the 06 Fusions!!

BTW, Nice pick up for for $300.

Well the parts I ordered for the oiling system and to finish up the AFPR install are starting to trickle in :)

I have pretty much been on hold until I install the Canton oil filter adapter. It is just easier to get to it with the turbo off, and run the lines. Well I opened up the box I was "o-man I ordered the wrong part". F'ing A. I ordered part #22-545 (sandwich plate) when I needed 22-595( the adapter).

So I guess It will be on hold again until the new one shows up some time next week.

FAIL!

p1513178_1.jpg

How ever I pretty stoked for the fuel system. This fitting I found cost a little more but I think it will make the install look a little cleaner plus it is a little different then what every one else uses. It is a 12 X 1.25 mm bango bolt to -6an for the fuel rail. The only bad thing is that it is blue and red, not black like all the other fittings I ordered. Also i'm hoping I wont run in to any clearance issues using this set up.

p1513178_2.jpg

Then just a quick pic of what fittings has already showed up. Mainly there the fittings I need for my Aermotive A1000 AFPR. If you have been fallowing my thread you already know there fittings already on it, but there the blue and red ones and I want black ones. Wast of money? Maybe but everything matches and I might be able to resell the other fittings. I like the black a lot better then the normal red & blue. I'm hoping with the black fittings I have LESS of the rice look and LESS "hay, look at me I just spent $600 on hose ends".

p1513178_3.jpg

But there is a update. Monday the rest of the oiling system should be here and the correct oil filter adapter should be here Wend, or Thurs.

Well the UPS guy cam today and dropped off some more parts I need for the oiling and AFPR from summit racing. Plus a package from Greg at suprasport. First thought was, what am I doing spending this kind of cash on a 20 year old supra!! But o-well it is all fun. Second thought was WOW the oil thermostat is HUGE, where in the hell am I going to mount this. It is pretty big but I will find some where to mount it,............I hope.

From supra sport I picked up the 1/2" spacer I wanted, to get the turbo further away from the manifold. Plus 1/2" longer studs to bolt everything up and a new oil re-stricter for my turbo.

When I was on the Phone with Greg, He was telling me about comp turbo's some times having a smoking issue with the triple ceramic ball-bearing turbos. I guess the engineers at comp turbo found even with the oil restriction fitting of .060", it was getting way to much oil!!! And this was with the .060" fitting. They tested it and found the turbo ran 5 hours with NO OIL!!!. So now they recommend a new fitting with only a .016" fitting! Pretty much just needs a drip system for these new turbos. So I told him to send it on up here, and WOW that hole is small! Look at the pics below. Now I just want to find a fitting to replace all the extra fitting to get it up to a -an4. There is 3 extra brass fitting, And I am looking for a cleaner install, now something that looks like plumber Bob got a hold of the supra. But I dont thing I will be abe to since the center fitting also has a filter built into it.

One thing Im worried about is the fitting clogging up. I hope this new oiling system / filter dose a good job getting the shit out of the oil.

Now I'm just waiting on the other Canton oil filter adapter to get here and the oil cooler it self to come in the mail. Then It is off to the garage and time to play the install, and figure shit out game.

Hot damn! Nice looking stuff going in to the car - hopefully she'll run better than ever. What are your plans for injectors and fuel pump?

Thank you. I just keep the receipts in a place where the GF can't find them because she would have a shit fit, if she know how much I have spent in the last week.

As for fuel, Wayne has a set of 880 injectors for me. He now wants to go with 2K!!!! 880 is a little larger then I need, but they will work. There will be plenty of safety factor this way. Fuel pump, I'm planning on going with a Bosch 040 in tank, to keep the fuel pump noise to a minimal. The 040 has a min. rating of 300 LPH; can be used up to vehicles with 700 HP, price is fair I feel at $180 ish, and is in-tank!! Win - Win.

I just hate that humming noise associated with external pumps. I want to keep this car drivable and enjoyable for longer trips, just incase I ever feel the need to take one in it.

As for fuel management Im sure it will be AEM for the fact of good "bang of the buck" (as long as it doesn't blow up right away) and that we have a good tuner really close to us that knows that system inside and out. But I will go with anything else if I can find a good deal on one.

Those are the last 3 things planed (not purchased yet) for the performance end of things.

Then rims and tires will come, but that wont be tell next winter, or when I have more xtra $$$$

Holy shit - 2000cc!? I was planning a similar fuel setup, it looks very similar to this:
waterfallLG.jpg

I agree wholeheartedly with the in-tank fuel setup, keeping it simple. And those Warlboro bumps don't seem to have a very good track record. Just an FYI about pumps, I read somewhere that the OEM pump for a Ford GT-40 is available from Ford dealerships for cheap, and has lots of flow. It might be something worth researching.

 I was thing the same thing about the 2k's!!

I have to same feelings about Warlbro pumps. I will have to research those ford pumps, as long as they don't turn into Found On Road Dead pumps, lol. Thank you for the heads up.
