wow, thats what I need! I have 2 60watt light bulbs in the very back lighting up a big garage. Nice "upgrade"!

yep 2 bulbs dont work to good. I had 3 100w bulbs in the center and they sucked. Needed a trouble light just to check the oil, lol. I think the only time I will need a trouble light now is under the car.

Some times upgrades are also need in the working area, not just to the car.

One down side is that the 900 bones came out of the stand alone money. O well the winter is long and more time and money can be found :)

Lights, heat and beer, the three essentials to having a workable garage.

Ah, Rob finally enters the power tools world. Air compressor FTW, Kickass heater FTMFW, and lights to see your beer with. Excellent job, give me a call if you guys plan on working on anything tomorrow, I might just be convinced to make a drive north :)

No work will happen on my sup. Only partying today / night.

Yep finally can get the dust of the air tools and use them. In the past I had borrowed this air compressor from a good buddy. But now It is mine :) After helping him out this summer out at his house ( building a lean too, installing a hoist, installing 85 gallon air compressor, chopping down trees, ect.) he gave it to me since he had the new big ass compressor now.

It is a little on the loud side since it isn't a oil pump but it's all good.

Well, another non supra update. :(

Yesterday I finally installed the heater and the rest of the lights in the garage. It heats the garage up to 70 degrees in about 7 min!! (starting temp of 40 ish) WHOO!!! nice and warm just in time for the winter.
p1434888_1.jpg

p1434888_2.jpg

I also added a piece of cardboard to direct some of the heat towards the back of the garage. (if you are wondering why there is a piece of card board in front of it.)

Other then that not much else going on around here. Maybe one of there days I will install the parts I have in the house, on the sup but Im in no hurry.

Well this morning I was feeling ambitious and decided to put the sup up in the air, and start removing the turbo, and what not. Well I will let the pics to the taking, :)

p1436853_1.jpg

Poof turbo, is gone

p1436853_2.jpg

This will be the last day this sup & 7m will see one of these

p1436853_3.jpg

This is what the exhaust side looks like. Seems like lean, but on the dyno the car was pig rich.

What do you think?

Never the less still very min. shaft play. It will be in the F/S section soon.

You can also see where the turbo to downpipe gasket was leaking :(. Time for new exhaust side gaskets also.

Rob,
That turbo is sweet. I also really like the lip you bought. I am accumulating parts for my winter build as well. They say Friday is going to be 65. I am thinking of taking my brother Dallas from Arkansas who is visiting for a fast ride before putting her up on jack stands as well. Dallas had a 350z that Sean bolted a supercharger to but he hasn't ridden in a MKIII powered by a 2JZ yet.

I still want to come by and get started on that sub box one of these evenings.

This weekend dose sound nice!!! DAM IT, I wont be able to take the sup out for a rip now.

For the sub box, all we need to do is locate a table saw to cut the MDF board with. When I made mine, I was able to use the one at work. Once we find one It should only take a hour or 2, to put it together.

I will also ask Kenny one of these days if I can use his table saw he has over in the shop that is accost the street from my house. Maybe this weekend I will call him and ask. Then if anything I can run to Menards and pick up the material and I can let you know how much it was. IIRC I used 2 - 2'X4' 3/4" MDF boards that was around $7-8 each.

Thanks Rob, I am trying to slowly move forward with at least a few small projects while saving for my turbo upgrade. Once the cold stuff hits I am pulling off turbo and selling all the components. Plan to shoot video of car with turbo on and off her.

Well the past week I have been putzing around with the sup. I got all the oil and coolant fittings installed. And yes the CORRECT fitting for the top of the coolant neck (bst to 6an), not any of this "make a NPT fitting work". Just spend the $10 and get the correct one!!!!!

Well today I figured I would put the Boss Sr. in, quick since Im waiting on more fittings, to check the fit. Well it fits, but I need to change the power steering line from the cooler. Its a little tight, hitting the waste gate actuator. Also the Boss Sr. to the manifold flange is a little off/tight. I had to give it a couple good shoves to get it around the studs on the manifold  I really would like the bolt pattern to be a little larger on the turbo, but it fit.

Other then that I also went out a bought a few cabinets for the garage to store shit in and not on the floor.

A few pics.

p1445849_1.jpg

Its close to the manifold but fits.

Over all for now

Also another pic for the front from this past summer with out a smashed up lip

ooooh, pretty turbo install! Nice lookin' engine bay, too.
I went with 3/8" pushlock hose for the PS return lines- no clamps and is flexible too.

I will have to look into a pushlock hose or I'll just pick up a couple extra feet of braided SS hose (the black braided stuff). The hose on here isn't OEM, instead it is some hydraulic hose from the previous owner and is stiff as hell.:3d_frown:

So when comes AEM and fuel system?

All in good time. Winter still isn't here and have plenty of time till next spring.

The full flow oiling system then turbo setup is first. Next when time permits the A1000 Injected Bypass Regulator, (the black and Red one),witch I just pick up, a 040 fuel pump and injectors around 750 ish will come next. Then finish up with a stand alone. Im in NO hurry to work or finish up the sup. There is plenty of time, and the car isn't going anywhere.

^^^ Thanks bro. Hopefully buy the time the snow melts next spring the performance mods will be all done, and engine bay straightened and cleanded up a little more.

It's already been 2 years and going on 3 now :( LOL orginal plans were only 6 months.
