Did you think about making a spacer to go between the turbo and manifold to move the compressor housing away from it? I'm just thinking your going to get some bad heatsoak once you start doing long pulls...

Nope, OEM heat shield will still be on. Just not needed to be on for the test fit. Plus as you can see from the pic, the turbo is already close to the shock tower.

Those are Greg's spacers ;) (Same person that made the turbo, owner of supraport). I could just drive down to his shop and pick one up with the longer studs.

There is plenty of clearance between the shock tower and the turbo / waster gate actuator to fit a 1/2 spacer. I will look into a spacer.

Also any one else on here running a Boss Sr. Turbo? I wouldn't mind seeing your set up and thoughts on it.

Yeah rob i did also run the spacer on it when it was on my car. It puts it about half way between the strut tower and the manifold. Greg was also talking to me about that fitting. My hole was messed up and i totally forgot about it when i gave you the stuff. Sorry about that. BTW it does look nice in your engine bay!

Well haven't done much lately to the sup. Instead, I insulated the garage to help keep the heat in the garage from the new heater , and started to mud the sheetrock joints.

Also I now have a fridge in the garage  taking up lots of needed space. Mine died in the house and it is only 4 years old!!!! So I called Maytag to have the repair guy come and fix it under warranty. They wont be out till the 18th!!! I was like WTF, that is over a week out!!!! So Im borrowing a friends 14 cubic ft. keg a rator for now until they fix mine in the house. It holds a 16 gal keg plus 3-4 cases.

But this morning the fedex guy dropped off the FPR I picked up from Spaniard.

I am going to replace the blue fittings with black ones when I order my fittings from summit. Im just not a fan of the red & blue look.

Now that some parts came, Im in the mood to turn some wrenches. I think I will head out the the garage today and install the PS cooler I have from the 91 parts car, and start looking for a location I want to install the FPR.

Well got the old power steering "cooler" out. Not much to it just a tube, lol. The one out of the 91 should work a little better ;) Plus with it the tube are removable so Install should be a little easier. Now time to clean it up, and paint it. ( forgot to bring it out with me when we went soda blasting last weekend :( )

Should do a little better at cooling.

Im still looking a good spot to mount the FPR. Not really finding any good spots

Yersterday, I sanded / cleaned all the parts, laid down a coat of primer, and followed with 3 coats of high temp black paint.

Maybe this afternoon or night I will go back out to the garage and play some more with the sup.

Im going to have to make or find a spacer so I can get the center of the cooler a little more stable with a bolt. Also I relocated the horns under the nose so there more out of sight.

p1451360_3.jpg

Also I think Im going to mount he FPR here, but not sure yet.

Not to many supra owners run the style I picked up. It is what they call a rx-7 style I guess because the in/out is 90 degrees for the end tanks. It is just the way I wanted it because of how I wanted to run my IC piping.
