I too have been feeling the pain of driving the supra after Ive gotten used to my DD having DBW.

Ill also motion you get a maggie! and a twin disc! Then maybe a dry shot! I think I would be happy if I could just get long tubes.:nono:

DBW is so nice! I dont know about a twin disc several guys have been using the LS7 clutch with great success on holding the power.

With a maggie? I think that would be at the limits of ls7 clutches. Ive heard some people with just cams have ate through those clutches.

Correct the LS7 clutch is right at the limit of what it is rated for. But also is the OEM clutch that comes with it. The OEM clutch is rated for 400 ft lbs of torque. Now is there a better one out there, I am sure there is. I just going by what other owners have used in the past.

As for the sup not much changed besides now she is parked in the drive way NOT IN THE GARAGE!! Im replaceing the intake gaskets on a buddys Grand Prix so the garage is full of pontiac goodness LOL :icon_mad:

Also I finally got the rear wiper arm and blade installed. Not that big of a deal but it has been pissing me off because I knew it was missing/ not installed and there should be one there.

How ever I did take her on a 45 min cruise last night with the targa off and A/C blowing nice and cold at the old lady and me. Ran pretty good just down on a little power with the 95 degree temps and 80% humidity!!

Sunshade looks sick, now all you need to do is go WINGLESS! :evil2:

And thank you, but Im not a fan of wingless supras. If anything a regulus spoiler is needed :evil2:

If the weather get warmer then 65 degrees or at least if the sun would come out I will take some more pics, garage pics = low light = :(.

Well last night I finally installed the Viper 771xv remote start / keyless entry and every thing works pretty nice. No more need to put the key in the door to unlock :) The only problem is I neek the "crank time" to be longer. Stock setup on the 771xv is 0.6 sec. and I need to change it to around 3 seconds. I tryed changing it late last night but couldn't get the valet/menu button to work with me. So I guess I will play with it more today.

Im about to install that exact one in my car here shortly. My buddy had it in his last car and isn't using it now cause it came out cheaper to get a new one installed than just the installation for his old one.

I dont suppose you hava any papers saying what the wires coming off the viper stuff are do you?

Yep I do ;)

First pick up a turbo timer harness off Ebay for $17 (so you dont have to cut you ing. wires)

Wile wating for the harness I labeled all the wires and d-pinned the ones that are not used on the supra. (less mess)

Next use this thread for the wires you need to tap into on the car http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39992&highlight=remote+start. & guidance ;)

Then use the Viper install manual ( attached on the bottom of this post)

Last use TEWD for what wires to cut and tap (on the turbo timer harness) for the remote start part of the opperation & to double check wire colors.

It took me around 3 hours to install and the 6 pack of beer is optional

Here is a couple pics. I haven't zip tiedup up the wires yet (running short on time & dont drive the supra much anyways) but here is it in its mess. They will get cleaned up in good time.

Yep I had to by-pass the clutch switch
*****I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING IT DUE TO SAFETY REASONS*****

A couple pics of the "brain"

Turbo timer harness used so no ing. wires had to be cut

The mess of wires for the locks, brake, factory alarm, ect.

Hope this helps a little.

ok well theres a new problem with the remote start. I was able to change the crank time and now cranks the engine over the amount of time I want it to but the engine wont start. I can start with the key just fine, just not the remote start. If any of you have experance with a remote start in the supra feel free to shine.

You have one of your ignition wires wrong. One of the pink wires is not giving power to the correct factory ignition wires, most likely you have the accessory and ignition wire backwards

http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/alarmdetail/2128.html

check and compare... then use a volt meter to make sure.

Also why are you using the crank time method? Why not the ignition signal way?

Did you get it worked out?

Yep, just took care of it today. Also sent a pm to toyo4life and a common problem is having the pink and pink/white wires flipped flopped, witchI did. A/C still nice and cold. Now time to take her out for a quick rip, lol

Now she starts right up and everything seem to be working good, set the crank time to 1.4 sec. Even the built in turbo timer works perfect, that right now I just set at 1 min.
