Lets see here fan shroud and time to swap to redline oil.
This fan shroud business is a PITA with my intercooler piping running where the 2 little A/C fan are. I had to cut parts of the shroud off just so the IC piping will clear the A/C compresssor. But now it is a little to tight in there and I can not get the 90 degree reducer elbow to fit correct and it blows off wile under boost
So now I dont know if I want to remove the shroud (like before), re-route the IC piping, or re-make the IC piping with 2.5" piping (current is 3"). I just dont like the way it looks when the IC piping is shoved behind the head light like many other FFIM's do. I think this way looks alot cleaner. But I will head out to the garage and give everything another look.
I know it was a perfect fan shroud and I took a dremel to it.
Also it was time to change oil. No more conventional oil here. Redline oil for the GTE now
Man I can't believe the great oil presssure I am getting with this new oil pump with 7mm shim and -8an pick up hose apparatus. Now just priming the system I get about 10 psi and going down the free way at 75 she is always right around 40 ish no matter the temp on the oil.
Also I need to figure out what I want to do with this Red 91 I just picked up. Spending a hundo on a OEM HG is starting to sound better. The local gut that is looking at the motor wont have the cash for another 3+ weeks. So maybe just rip off the head and replace the HG.
