Well I picked up that 91. Lets call it a parts car. Pics are in another thread. But I now at least power mirror switch and correct seat belts holder things that attach to the front seats.!!! WHOO!! The dash looks to be shadow gray so I don't think I will be able to use them.

Well I swapped out the turbo with the 91' I just bought and she is strong, not burning oil, once again!!! Tires still smoken:bigthumb:

I took her on over to a buddies house then we proceeded down to a local bar for some .25 cent wings. He is a big chevy guy (BBC 454 punched .60 over) and it even woke him up:evil2:. A couple burn out later and the only thing smokin was the tires :) So blown turbo is no more. Now time to sell some parts off of the 91' for a Boss Sr. turbo.

Here is a couple cell pics I snapped tonight to keep you pic happy people happy

Woot! No Jim Hall disease!

Trust me I was really, really, really starting to think I had the disease. But I guess she lives to die another day.

Hope the heater valve works good for you bud.

Also any one ever remove a power steering cooler from a 91 or 92 supra? I see they have a lot better cooling and since there is one in the 91 I have, I would like to swap it. It almost looks like the nose needs to come off. Maybe if anything it is something that can wait tell the snow starts to fly this winter and the supra is down for the season.

Lets see here fan shroud and time to swap to redline oil.

p1377155_1.jpg

This fan shroud business is a PITA with my intercooler piping running where the 2 little A/C fan are. I had to cut parts of the shroud off just so the IC piping will clear the A/C compresssor. But now it is a little to tight in there and I can not get the 90 degree reducer elbow to fit correct and it blows off wile under boost :( So now I dont know if I want to remove the shroud (like before), re-route the IC piping, or re-make the IC piping with 2.5" piping (current is 3"). I just dont like the way it looks when the IC piping is shoved behind the head light like many other FFIM's do. I think this way looks alot cleaner. But I will head out to the garage and give everything another look.

p1377155_2.jpg

I know it was a perfect fan shroud and I took a dremel to it.

p1377155_3.jpg

Also it was time to change oil. No more conventional oil here. Redline oil for the GTE now :)

p1377155_4.jpg

Man I can't believe the great oil presssure I am getting with this new oil pump with 7mm shim and -8an pick up hose apparatus. Now just priming the system I get about 10 psi and going down the free way at 75 she is always right around 40 ish no matter the temp on the oil.
p1377155_5.jpg

Also I need to figure out what I want to do with this Red 91 I just picked up. Spending a hundo on a OEM HG is starting to sound better. The local gut that is looking at the motor wont have the cash for another 3+ weeks. So maybe just rip off the head and replace the HG.

^^^ Thank you.

Well I have put almost 200 miles on her since and it is running really good. A/C is still rocking cold. I think I need to stay out of boost, the last tank I avg. 13.5 mpg, lol. Good thing I didn't build this thing for MPG ;)

Sounds like a plan to me. School starts on the 24th and next week I plan on helping Greg out down in stillwater. So we should do it soon.

Very soon then. I think Saturday the 22 would work out. Other wise maybe sunday the 23 would also work good. Ask Greg what he thinks and we can send out some emails to the others.

Still to play in the games and stay in chic for a weekend will run well over 500 bones witch could pay for my oil cooling system, start upgrading the fuel system or even 1/2 of a new go fast turbo.

Trust Me I was planning on going!! I even have a model mk3 supra I was going to donate to the cause for a raffel, door prize, or something like that. But since I was layed off this past spring, Im enjoying my summer off even if I have to keep things on a little on the low side with spending cash.
