Whoo this 20 year A/C system still works!!! Went over to Don's house yesterday and decided to try get the A/C working. We converted it over to R134 and fould only one leak in the system that was a easy fix, just had to replace the oring.

At first we thought the A/C fuse was shot but ended up just having a bad jumper wire for the low pressure switch. Took me forever to try and find out where in hell the fuse was, so jumped on flashchat quick Zum gave me the answer I was looking for. (thanks Zumtizzal). BTW it is behind the passenger kick panel. Also thank you figgie for answering the question of how much R134 this system holds. (I removed the yellow stick with the info. because it was peeling and put it somewhere but have no idea where, lol)

We will see how long it holds, I sure there are other leaks some where in the system. But for now she blows ice cold air.

Now there is only the power mirror problem to look into and everything will be back up to OE and working. The problem with the power mirrors, is every time I try and move them it blows the radio fuse :( I have swapped the swich with 3 different ones and same thing so there must be a ground shorting some where in the wiring. If any one knows of common problem area with this feel free to chime in.

There seems to be a black '88 missing from those pics.. oh yeah, the owner was passed out after being beaten on by dental students:3d_frown:

niiiiice rims. makes me want to get some >_<

Thank you, the only problem is that there Sean's (funky_monkey), so I have to give them back once he gets his sup up and running. And yes the rims have grown on me big time.

Sucks don't it. I have to admit seeing my car when I work on it with sawblades makes me want to finish it that much sooner.

You missed BIR this last wednesday.

How far along are you on your sup? Also about BIR I thought about it but you were there on dyno day and I dont have much to prove yet with only 308 tq.

Update: Today should suck, I just pick up a few little clips clips that were broken so time to replace them. Also pick up the N/A union for the filter, first part of the remote oiling system. I might bypass the OEM oil cooler untill the rest of the parts get here. It is the source of my oil leaking right now and is pissing me off. The supra is like the harley, marks it's spot every where it goes, :biglaugh::biglaugh:.

Also I have notice that my supra take longer to start than other supras. For instance I have to crank it for about 5-6 seconds before it starts. Many others seem to be less than 3 seconds. I know it's nothing to big, but just has me wondering. Any one have any ideas shoot them out there.

Mine does that on cold starts only. Once it's warmed up, I turn the key and it's about 2-3 seconds for me

POOF, goes something . Not really sure what did yet but after some hard runs yersterday she started to blow out blue smoke pretty good. I am hoping the turbo finally let go but I wont find out until I start to rip into her. One good thing is that the compression is still solid accrost the board. 125, 126, 126, 124, 125, 121. Before you go " those comp #'s are low" you have to remember that right now I have around 8 degrees of overlap with these 272's.

LOL, I have no idea what is going on!! I decided to start her up just now to take a video of how bad the smoke was and.......nothing, she runs like normal. No smoke! So I drove her around town a little hitting good boost levels and still no smoke. Brought oil temp. up to 160ish and still nothing. I know there still has to be something wrong due to the amount of blue smoke yesterday. Still thinking it is the turbo, but now some how it just fixed it self.
