Anyone else running this type of cam's on a stock system?????

I know there are other members that have bought 272's but no one has posted that they have been to a dyno with them yet or what size turbo they are running. As far as I know and searching this is the first dyno sheet posted with 272's.

There is a company on ebay selling them ;) Before I ordered mine two other local supra owners/ members order them first, and when their's turned out great I had to pick them up. Total was $550 with the heated seats and embroidery!!

Also yersterday I finally installed the new tail light gaskets!! What a PITA they were. The previous owner siliconed the old gaskets to the tail light then siliconed it to the car!!! It took over 2 hrs of scraping that old shit of before I could even install the new ones. I hope this fixes my leak I get when I wash the car or it rains out.

This is why I hate cheap ass supra owners with no money. It just makes my job 1000000 time harder to do. Both sides were like this, not to mention the silicon i had to clean off of the tail lights them selves.

It does always suck when a previous repair makes working on a vehicle harder. However...if you weren't a "cheap ass supra owners with no money" then maybe you would have a grinder with "scotch brite" pads or a wire wheel and it would have taken you a couple minutes to clean up that silicone. :evil2:
I must say, I would never buy the OEM tail light gaskets and things of that sort that you have...I can't deny it though, your build looks like it is definitly a quality job.

I have both ;) and tried the green scotch brite pad and guess what.....................Dosen't work jack ass. It works as well as a fart in church. As for a wire wheel, you have to be fucking kidding me right?? wire wheel also removes paint and nope the car is NOT getting repainted any time soon, so that is not an option because you know what happens to bare metal here in MN.

Well I will / do buy the correct parts for a my cars and weather stripping from the hardware store or even silicone is not a option for me and tail light gaskets :nono: . Why couldn't some just one pony up the $35 for new ones??????

Ok, lets put it this way, I would have had the gasket material removed in a matter of minutes. Then had the repair finished with non-OEM parts and had it last as long as your setup...So then who's repair is the "correct" repair?

OEM repair would be correct, as it was designed.
Your method may work, but it is not the correct type of seal for that location.

Regardless do what you want, informed suggestions are whats offered on this forum.

Excuse my thread hijack 92.

Well, if toyota had actually put drains for around the back hatch, you'd probab;y never have to replace the seals on the tail lights...

Watter drains right into the back of them.

Very true, their whole water drain design or lack of back there sucks but never the less crossing fingers it works.

Not much of an update yet, I need to adjust the clutch a little, still from replacing the clutch master cly. After taking her out for a drive today it just dosent feel right yet. Also put together a parts list for the full flow, thermostat controlled oil cooler & remote filter and sent it to Jack at suprasport to see what he can do for me.
O ya almost forgot, I picked up a couple cases of redline oil since the 3k mile mark is coming up on this 7M :evil2:

That is it for now
