I like the dash, tails, and nose of the Monte Carlo SS much better. Wish that would have offered the 3.8 turbo in that car. I will probably own one some day. Once I tire of the Supra.

It's not a secret how it's done, not everyone likes the internet. MV transmissions in Australia is the best A340E tranny shop in the world, and he refuses to even get an email address. Do you call his work BS?

How to make 1000whp in a JZ motor is widely public, why raise the BS flag?

PS, ever driven a grand national? ....and you thought the MKIII was a tank lol

Actually the Grand national weighs as much as a c5 vette its not even 3300lbs

God, the dash in the GN is so horrible, i can't find any more pics on my photobucket tho. It's flat. It sticks out 1ft from the windshield and goes straight down. It feels like your driving a 80's chevy s10

I didnt mean weight wise. It has disk/drum brakes, single A-arm suspension, and solid rear axle. The only thing it does good is accelerate. Try to corner or stop? forgetaboutit. I had carbon metallic pads in the car, and even at 100mph, trying to stop just glowd the rotors and made pretty sparks, but after all that you were still going 98mph

The funny thing is, i compared the dash to an S10.. I actually had s10 rear drum expander thing wtf ever its called. It was bigger and applied more pressure.

I can make a Pinto really fast, would you drive it everywhere and valet park it?

Ric -you defend the 1jz pretty hardcore. about as equal as the reaper bashes them. but its kinda pointless when you think about it, because no one is going to sway the others opinion.

reaper- u bought your chassis from my neighbor. just so you know it did run better with the 1jz that was in it than your 13.7 at least move beyond stock 1jz twin level before you start with the hardcore bashing. on SF you said 1jz guys should try to step up to 2jz guys to prove their point. maybe Ric should step up to you. my money is on him.

Both motors are good.

Dang RIC, you let that go cheap! If we ever meet, I will kick you so you don't have to kick yourself :) Yeah, the GN needs some upgrades but it does straight lines really well. I am just an 80's kinda guy. Plus, 6x9 speakers fit in it. That is a true test of a 80's redneck car.

im not bashing the 1JZ because of what i feel in mine on stock twins man. i rode in Tissimo's Cammed 1J, with a 67 and it wasn't impressive to me.

and BIC with 418 at 20 psi PFFF weak

and Jay (suprahero's) doesn't seem to be doing any better.

the only one i have seen thats impressed me on Pump gas is Pitulas

So can you tell me what 2jMKIII you rode in that impress you to say the 1j is weak and maybe this year at SILV07 we can match that 2jMKIII (track and all)?

Ive driven in, rode in, and sat in equal HP automatic 1JZ and 2JZ powered cars..

The only thing that lets me know whats under the hood is the sound. A 1JZ single sounds like a 1 liter sportbike, and the 2jz, well.. is a 2jz.

418 @ 20psi is weak. My boy in Tampa did 478whp @ 18psi on a GT35r and an SAFC2.

The tune was off. I am sure if he would have tuned the AEM on a dyno, it would make a lot better numbers. I thought the 1J was pretty darn fast. That is why I intially bought Tissimo's motor.

im not gonna put him on the spot. but 1J single, cams barely making 430 whp, and his car made damn near 400 on stock twins, stock cams, and stock fuel.

My old 1jz when I sold it gave me a little faith in the 1jz.. but still 3L > 2.5L...

my aem math said it made 400-410 whp..
my 2jz put down 394whp.. aem math says 340whp..
