As I understand, that's because Australia imposes huuuuge import tariffs.

Can't blame Chevrolet for that.

Now that the US dollar is pretty weak it should make it a little easier on you, but that won't last forever, and it still doesn't even come close to making up the difference of what you could buy a Z06 for here in the US.

How the hell do you guys down-under put up with that?

At the end of the day its easy to paint any picture you want on the internet given a few loyal friends and Photoshop.

A stock Z06 is NOT very nearly as fast as a Bugatti veyron on the quarter.

A supra is not the god of automobiles (it is nearly, though...).

Not just that IJ, I find it funny how people can say the Veyron wasn't built for the strip when it can beat a McLaren F1 in acceleration from 200km/h to 300km/h while it goes from 0km/h - 300km/h...

The Veyron as spoken by the team @ Top Gear is the only car they have ever driven able to do 400km/h+ without feeling like its going to fall apart... that's an achievement in its own.

A 600rwhp MK3 should easily outrun a C6 Z06. A 500rwhp MK3 and a C6 Zo6 would be a close race.

I whooped one on the highway earlier this year!:naughty: They really can handle though. On the strip well this year if every thing comes together we will see what I have.

Buddy, leave your conspiracy theories at the door. These times were done by Ranger from corvetteforums.com. They have some videos and time sheets. He has times for the car when it had runflats and with the drag radials.
