what... clear carbon fiber? i didnt know carbon stopped being black...

Eh, whatever. haha. I don't specifically remember the material. I looked at the power/weight, then I looked at the car itself. I was disappointed at both, so the materials of the car don't mean squat to me. All I remember seeing in the thread was plastic, carbon fiber, and something to do with protecting material from ultraviolet rays. Haha.

lol... gotcha. what if its polycarbonate? like the stuff used in eyeglasses. that stuff is supposed to be UV-resistant and avoid yellowing for at least 10 years... i wish the headlights on my dodge ram were made of that shit.

OP: First build a 600rwhp Mk3 then we'll discuss it....:nono:

its in the works now, i hope to be finished with evrything but the paint by springtime. im not saying its an a very easy goal its just been my goal for sometime now. im not just throwing it around like so many do, i have actually been doing my homework. and im not building my car just to outrun my friends zo6. also i think he paid $70,000 for his car and ill have no where near that in mine.

thats something i still havent been able to decide on, and everybody has a differnet opinion. evrything will be built for atleast 600hp but ive got to get the turbo for it, which is becoming a hard chose to make.

either an SP61GT or SP63. a 61 could hit it on race gas and 25ish psi with a 0.68 hot side. a 63mm is alot more likely and a 67 can do it for sure with just a pump-race mix and 23-24psi.

its definilty 10's too. my friend is running an SP67 on his car. he runs 10.50's at 128 in his MKIV, BL auto and a Midwest 3800rpm stall on 315 Drag radials and chrome TT's. btw, this car weighs in at 3800lbs; full weight. it also cuts 1.5 60' times leaving on the foot brake. thats 24psi, pump-race mix too. he ran an SP61gt w/ a 0.68 hotside like mentioned first. his best time on that was 10.80 at 127...
