I dont know how much Zo6s cost but I doubt theres any change from $45k

I wouldnt use that 18% drivetrian loss to figure the Z06 hp it is underrated and I have seen ppl posting up whp in the 450-470hp range depending on the milage of the car and its break in.

Still, even then, your still talking about a 150whp advantage. 15whp isnt exactly a small number.

Wrong! I had 620 RWHP and trapped 130 665RWHP was on bottle and never got to run it. The car is also much heavier than the 06.

I have liked the MKIII since they were new back in 86. However, the new Z06 is just a jaw dropping car for me. I will own one when the kids go off to college for sure.

My car is full of teh win. Corvette? Not so much.

Several of my buddies have bought them, and they are a true supercar - meaning they are usually sitting in the service department at the Chevy dealership, waiting for parts.

The last guy I know who bought one for a daily driver eventually gave up, and recently traded it in for a new BMW. His brand new Corvette was only running properly 50% of the time. When he picked it up from the dealership, brand new, to drive it home, it only made it A BLOCK before it smoked and died. That one only took Chevy a day to fix, but still!

The only thing the 'vette has that I don't is traction control. And I plan to fix that. And I don't mean by ripping it out of every 'vette I run into, either.

11.8-12 seconds ~ at 120mph is the fastest a stock Z06 has ever run so you are right.

Some Mk3s have run 9 second quarters....and faster :naughty:

I didnt know this but it seems the stock Z06 motor can only handle 6lbs of boost before it blows! still give 560rwhp tho, but Im guessing its NOT a cheap conversion.

Still waiting for info, 10.8, and he says fastest is 11.8-12sec. 10.8 is a massive drop from 12sec. INFO or I call BS

bearing in mind a Bugatti veyron only does a standing quarter in about 10.5 at 155mph iirc

It is categorically impossible that a stock Corvette can match a veyron :naughty: (or a modified Z06 for that matter)
