Nick,

Replacing the dash harness isn't too bad...;)

But out of curiosity, why won't you run your stock dash harness and have a standalone ems run the engine? ...I am going that route.

you could go to a junk yard and source that plug. (engine side and repin it!)

I've got that plug on my old harness that will mate up to the male end coming out of the glove box. I'll see if I can find pinouts for it online.

THANKS!

Well, my friend, that takes about $800-$1,200 that I just don't have after already dumping $6,500 into this build. Thanks though.

Think I've almost got this thing figured out. Waiting on another member to shoot over a pinout that he made when encountering the same issue. If it matches up, its repinning time!

Basically there are 13 wires in the 91-92 clip and 18 wires on the 89 clip.

I've got 11 matches from the 89 clip to the 91-91. 2 wires (that would complete the 13 needed...) are the same color on both but one has dashes on it.

We'll see...

IT RUNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We primed about 6 or 7 times with the EFI fuse out. Started it up for 10 seconds to check for oil in the oil feed then shut it off. I cranked it for about 4 seconds playing with the gas pedal and then it fired right up! Idled really well actually.

The down side...

I have no signal to any of my gauges and I realized the clip for the signals for the gauges isn't plugged in because there's no spot for it due to my harness differences. So now I have to do research on that and get that to work.

Once the gauges start working then I can test drive!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Updates coming soon.

Well the car is somewhat disassembled for a front main leak. The leak showed up after the first or second drive and just got worse. So day before yesterday I got home, saw the puddle underneath and started tearing everything apart.

I was using a front main from the Club NA-T kit. Not saying there's anything apparently bad about them, just saying thats what I used and if it was the issue, it did not do its job. Looks like I'll find out today after work.

I also think the ISC might be clogged and thats why it keeps dieing... Not sure though.

I'll keep you guys posted.

Thanks!

Question about a couple of things.

Had a fairly serious oil leak and thought it was the main seal, tore a lot of stuff of to get to it, replaced it, and I'm pretty sure it still leaks. Any ideas of where else the leak could be coming from? Only other thoughts would be oil pump cover or cam seals. I'm hoping for the cam seals...

Car is STILL dieing. Are there any ports that go to the ISC at all? The only ports i have anything going to are coolant ports. It goes pig rich right before it dies so I would assume that points to ISC.

Threw code 52.......... Then pulled the EFI Fuse and it didn't come back after 30 miles. So far so good.

Threw code 21 still. O2 sensor. Could this have anything to do with the dieing?

:1zhelp:

Thanks!

Anyone? :(

Also I had my A/C charged and it blew really cold for about 12 miles or so. Then I park and it blows one of the fittings off and loses all of the freon. Just one thing after another.

Thanks.

Yes there are.

I'll take a pic for you tomarrow.

My 2JZ idles really low.

But you can remove it open it up and clean it with brakeclean (safe for plastic).

Thank Suprastanger507Mgte for this. ;)

Dude!

I was shocked! I thought there would be a Line like the 7M.

But no!

I've never opened it up. But my guess is. It goes in and out to control the airflow around the TB?

Your Best Bet is to Take it off via the Three Phillips head screws then, open it up and give it a little spray!

Sorry!

Just thought I'd update.

After driving the Supra around town for a bit, it was time for me to go to school and yes I brought the Supra.

800 Mile road trip in a 2JZ-NA-T Supra completed with ZERO hiccups whatsoever! You better believe I was watching Oil Pressure and Water Temp like a friggin hawk. Filled up twice which was more than I thought I was going to have to. But I got a little lost right at the end of Kentucky which made me have to get gas.

Just thought I'd let you guys know!

BTW I took more pictures at the lake now that it's completed:

Hell yea dude, good work!! I've got about 800mi on mine now too, will have lots more if it stops blowing coolant all over the place every time I get it running good lol. Very ballsy driving it that far after the swap, congrats!

I know you're running the Lex/SAFC, what other fuel upgrades you have? How much boostage?
