head gasket sealed and it runs ok. still got some timing issues and oil leaking around the front of the valve cover.

ok got the valve and cam seals changed. total p.i.t.a with a regular spring compressor. actually had better luck with two people on pushing down with needle nose pliers and one pushing down on the retainers. ghetto job but it worked. putting it all back together today. keep ya updated.

no bearing damage already checked. water is on the plugs and just a little on the pistons from the bhg. the rings are good enough it didnt leak down but im replacing valve and cam seals to try and fix the oil consumption problem. i havent decided about the na-t swap yet as i have a 92 gte block...

isnt the tps in dump mode at idle and wot? it might not get a good reading in dump mode

if you havent already done so replace the valve cover screws with bolts when you pull them back off.

cam seals? and probably front main seal at the pan

sucks its side post. top post you could use vise grips :). use jumper cables to start it and then duct tape the terminal to the post. mght have enough connection to make it home without killing the alternator. just make sure you turn everything off you dont need i.e stereo etc.

i have the same post a few threads down. the problem i'm having is the coil pack issue. if you get the harness and ecu do it.

ok so if i was to use the distributor out of my n/a and coil w/ ignitor and run my n/a ecu with the 7mgte long block will everything work? i wouldn't imagine the lower compression and higher flow injectors would be a problem with the n/a ecu. any opinions? i would just get a diff harness and...

well i have a saab 900s fmic i'll be using. i concidered even swapping the coil pack out for the distributor. i have the wiring from the coil pack and dizzy but its cut where it went to the ecu and i doubt the n/a ecu will work

check connections and fuses as well as grounds. take your key and lock and unlock the drivers side door and try again. kinda strange but the alarm does some strange thngs
