WE can fight back on gas prices (read n pass on)

I find it hard to support lower gas prices. If $4.00+ a gallon is what it takes to make people realize that they shouldn't be driving 12mpg tanks, then its money well spent in my mind. Higher fuel prices are creating more incentive for developing more sustainable systems such as renewable...

    PINKS trailer March 19, 9pm.

That was so wild seeing a MKIII getting that much exposure on a TV show.

    Starter delay?

No pics of that... Its just the stock one and not damaged to my knowledge. I think it has something to do with the power going to the starter solenoid to activate it, just not sure what or why. Could a partially broken wire do this??? Thanks.

    Starter delay?

I'm trying to tackle another electrical gremlin on my 89 7mgte. Whenever I turn the key to start the car, there is about a 1 second delay before the starter kicks in. With the previous starter, I was having an issue of the starter not kicking in at all (but it would always work fine if I ran a...

    Uneven brakes

I got my brakes in order a week or so ago. I replaced both front calipers and brackets (thanks 7Mboost), cleaned the metal shavings off of the ABS sensors, and cleaned up the rotors and pads. I also fixed my freeze plug problem and changed the rod bearings. I have about 700 miles on it since and...

    Uneven brakes

Heh... too bad my beraings won't be in till Friday. Yeah, apparantly the freeze plug behind the timing cover decided to spring a leak a few days ago(still unconfirmed, but 90% sure thats what it is). I was driving the car and started seeing little spots of tan sludge on my windshield, then...

    Uneven brakes

Great info guys! I inspected the driver side caliper... its in BAD shape. I'm kicking myself now for not catching it when I swapped my rotors. The guide pin is badly worn resulting in lots of play. I have another caliper and bracket on the way so hopefully that will take care of it, though I...

    Uneven brakes

Thanks for info! I'll tear into them in the next day or two and see what I can do. When doing the fronts, will I just need to bleed the front ones or is the system set up so that all 4 need to be bled again?

    Uneven brakes

I just changed out a faulty brake booster and master cylinder on my 89, which helped pedal feel and responsiveness greatly. I have noticed, however, that the front right is braking harder than the left. It doesn't really pull, but there is much more brake dust on the right, it gets a good deal...

    Geougenator's 89t build! What's 56k?

Thanks! We are definately on the same page :icon_bigg It went OK... I just cut off the side of the bolt with the dremel, but if I had to do it again I would have tried taking the bottom strut bolt off first. The tie rod was loose like the other side. Thanks! I want to see YOUR car in action...

    Geougenator's 89t build! What's 56k?

I did the other ball joint yesterday, along with the tie rod, exhaust, and fan. I also wired in the stock stereo harness since the previous ownder had cut it :icon_evil , but apparantly I need a different adapter harness for the stereo... looks like they are different from 88/89. Oh, and thanks...

    Geougenator's 89t build! What's 56k?

Thanks for all the great feedback! SupaMan: The interior wasn't too bad, the hardest parts were the trunk panels and the targa lining + side rails. The rest is pretty straight forward. The dash is pretty easy if you know where all the bolts are. I have some video of the car running on...

    Geougenator's 89t build! What's 56k?

Well, its pretty much over now, but here is how it went. This is my 89 turbo targa that I purchased a little while back (not running) from a guy in Elizabeth City, NC. I have been doing all sorts of stuff to it since then, with plenty of help from my friend Squid699 here in Richmond. This is...

where to mount rx7 oil cooler

I just picked up a FC RX7 cooler yesterday. It does indeed have a built in thermostat, which is nice. What kind of lines and fittings are you guys going to use with it? I was thinking of hooking it up with the summit filter relocation kit, some extra hose, and socketless -8AN to metric...

    People with aftermarket headers...

I had the pacesetters on my former 86.5 na. They are not worth the trouble in my opinion. The "high temp paint" burns off instantly, you have to grind the edges of the flange to get it to seat onto the head, and the collector pipe is mostly worthless because it does not bend around the...
