I'm more interested in the signals, can I use the signals from the 7M dist (mine is a modified 5M dist) to run the GTE ECU. It sounds like I can. I just want to make sure before I rewire my engine bay, again.

Dirgle: you are correct. I would not use the cap, rotor, coil, or wire as those would be replaced by GTE/2J VVTI electronics.
Right now I have my 6MGE running on 7MGE electronics.

For running 7MGTE electronics on a 6MGE. The CPS will not fit due to the location of the fuel rail on the 6MGE head.

Are you still thinking about going the speed density route? What would it take to get from where you are now to speed density? Would it be the same as a GTE set up or are there different things to consider?
