I need a 7mge long block in working condition. I was going to put a 1jz swap in my car, but I sold it off after realizing I really want a lighter car. The current motor's top and bottom end are shot, so I need a replacement cheap. I'm looking to sell off the car, but no one wants it not...
I've got a white supra with blue interior. The interiro is pretty damn good, fairly clean seats, they work perfectly, windows work awesome, door panels are in good shape (driver side has a couple tears in the vinyl, but passenger is perfect. Dash is perfect as well. The body is missing...
The total loss might have been from flood damage... The car may look fine, but might have a host of problems waiting to pop up. However, I have a truck that has a rebuilt title. It was a total loss, and a body shop bought it, fixed it and sold it to me. Been driving it for 6 years almost...
What I don't get is why they put a $12k (brand new) economy car agaist a $35Kish (brand new) Muscle car... Imagine a mkIv ($35Kish brand new) with the same budget that guy had on his TA for A/M parts. That would be a hell of an episode, even with the TA on the bottle.
I know everyone has covered max width tires on the mk3, but Im wondering if when the car is dropped about 1.5 inch, does it have an effect on the max width without rubbing? Im looking at a set of 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rears with a +35 offset, but could I run 9.5 all around without rubbing...
Now that's the kind of thing I was hoping to find out on here! I dug around down there, and sure enough, it was loose. It wasn't staying together well, so I wrapped some electrical tape around the connector. Works like a champ! Thanks!
This would be useful if it was just the switch... when it doesnt work, it doesnt work on both sides. That doesnt sound like dirty contacts to me... and besides I srayed some contact cleaner (the stuff we use on the pc's at work) under the switches. If it was that, the cleaner should have made...
That's a good idea, i'll check that tonight... I was accually thinking of just replacing them all for the hell of it... since they are all probably old as hell.
Also, I have problems with my door locks, think they could be related?
I'm pretty sure its a bad master switch on the driver's side. Sometimes after driving for 20+ mins (like on the way to work today and yesturday, and all last week), the passenger window wont go up... From either side. It doesn't seem to matter what I do, i.e. cleaning the contacts on the...
Meh, I just tied em together pretty good and that seems to work good enough. I hardly ever use cruise control anyways, so no biggie if I lose it. Im just stoked I can drive it again. Thanks for the help. The thought had crossed my mind that there was only the one blue wire, and the diagram...
hooray for stupid mistakes... the blue/red wire i cut was from the speed control... CrAp. I mistook the speed control for the theft deterent module. Damn, I hope I can reconnect that wire. :(
ok went to two differnet "good ground" points now. I double tripple checked that I have the blue wire with the orange stripe. This is the only place I can see that I can be wrong, the orange stripe is kind of red... Thats about the only thing I can see that isnt matching up with the...
Ok I read through those, and have tried to ground out the orange/blue wire, but it still wont start. I didnt accually remove the anti theft module, I just unpluged it. Do I need to remove it completely?? it doesnt appear to be connected to anything, and I broke my adapter to fit my size 10...
My car has gone crazy. Anytime I try to unlock it, it sounds the alarm. If I try and start it, the theft deterent system cuts the ignition. I've tried everything in the manual. I've tried unlocking it from different sides. I've tried relocking it from the inside and out, unlocking from the...
I may just be ignorant to the subject, or just new... but aren't those cars all just the most unreliable peice of crap in the world? Im in a stock NA, and I havent lost to any of them, although im yet to come up to much of a challenge, but I beat an talon with a big intercooler sticking out...
Well I kinda figured I'd have to do that, but I was hoping there was an easier way. Im just going to have to limp on the old plugs for now until I have time to tear it all apart and replace the valve cover gaskets as well. thanks for the pics!
