My car has gone crazy. Anytime I try to unlock it, it sounds the alarm. If I try and start it, the theft deterent system cuts the ignition. I've tried everything in the manual. I've tried unlocking it from different sides. I've tried relocking it from the inside and out, unlocking from the inside, and even opening the truck and hood. Nothing will shut this damn thing off. Maybe I'll go try disconnecting the batt terminal. Anyone have any other ideas incase that doesn't work?

Ok I read through those, and have tried to ground out the orange/blue wire, but it still wont start. I didnt accually remove the anti theft module, I just unpluged it. Do I need to remove it completely?? it doesnt appear to be connected to anything, and I broke my adapter to fit my size 10 socket, so I cant get it out right now.

the hood pin mod is the much simpler way, but is you decide to go the other way and disconnect the theft deterrent and ground the blue/orange wire, make sure it's a good ground

Define good ground... Appearantly I am not any good at finding a good ground because nowhere I try is doing the trick.

ok went to two differnet "good ground" points now. I double tripple checked that I have the blue wire with the orange stripe. This is the only place I can see that I can be wrong, the orange stripe is kind of red... Thats about the only thing I can see that isnt matching up with the instructions. The car doesn't start and it would appear that im screwed because I already cut wires.

hooray for stupid mistakes... the blue/red wire i cut was from the speed control... CrAp. I mistook the speed control for the theft deterent module. Damn, I hope I can reconnect that wire. :(

Meh, I just tied em together pretty good and that seems to work good enough. I hardly ever use cruise control anyways, so no biggie if I lose it. Im just stoked I can drive it again. Thanks for the help. The thought had crossed my mind that there was only the one blue wire, and the diagram showed 2, but I thought it was ok. Next time I'll leave a little more room to resplice incase I have the wrong wire.
