Hey Rich,
What kind of power will the built a340 hold? I see you're into the 11s on a stock turbo. What kind of boost? What was your setup? Nitrous? Lightened supe? What kind of power are you putting down? Id put a built a340 back in my 88 if I knew it would hold. 3200 stall with a line...
Suprarich,
What kind of power will the built A340 you're selling hold? What kind of HP were you making with the 89 and the stock turbo? Lightened supra? Nitrous?
Im waffling between a built a340 and a TH400 or just replacing my clutch.
Thanks,
JG
Nnaaawwwwww!!!!!!!!! I converted from a automatic to manual about 4-5 years ago. The stock one died twice when I was around 350RWHP (stock one plus the rebuild). I put in a manual and Ive had a "swap" portion on my website for years. Now it looks like Im flip-floppin' back!

Cool. Can you get me some info on him or a contact? Thats what the performance range Im lookin for! How has the tranny lasted for him? Im still not sure that just the Raybestos Blues and increased line pressure would hold 650Ft# on Tq.
Thanks,
JG
Ive searched and sorted through several threads. Ive seen a bunch of guys in the 300-400 range on one of the "modded" A340Es. Is there anyone out there running this tranny at >500hp? If so, do you spend any time at the track? I dynoed 550hp and 650tq on boost and nitrous. I know the cost...
Tookwik, What were your #s on these runs? Are you still running a A340E? If so what have you done to make it hold the power? Im at 650ft#s RWTq and Im breaking clutches. Currently RPS 3200# with six-puck sprung. Power or bad driver, Im getting tired of it. I want to go to the track and...
Duh. Thats why the HP and TQ #s are flipped. I couldnt remember what gear I ran in in Atlanta but it must have been 4th!! I'm off this next week. Ill try to get back and run in 4th. Ill also tune up a little and post all the AFR. This dyno prints the AFR on a separate sheet. I think I...
Don't forget kids......that's at 21psi on the turbo with a WET SHOT of nitrous!! The engine is still seeing the airflow for HP in the mid to low 400s. Im adding N2O and fuel from the nitrous system. I probably am getting to the limits of the 550s though. Ive got to richen up the nitrous...
Yeah, my turbo is an "old school" Suprasport Stage III. Its on of the t3/t4 hydrids. They dont even list the thing now. I think the "BOSS" thats on their website is basically the same turbo though with some improvements.

No harm done! The nitrous jet is the size referenced to "75Hp" on the NX chart for a supra. (non -turbo? I can't remeber). As well as the direct effect of the nitrous, the cooling effect is going to play a big part. Later on, in the exteme heat of the summer the nitrous helps out a lot...
550RWHP & 650RWTQ @21 psi with "75" shot nitous. Just say YES to NOS!
411RWHP & 472RWTQ @21 psi all turbo.
A little disapointing on the all turbo run since I put down 435 & 401 @ 18psi on similar setup on a DynoJet Dyno. These runs today were on a new Mustang MD-1100 Dyno here in town. I guess...
Ive got a 88 MKIII Turbo originally equipped with a automatic tranny and LSD. Did these supras have the 3.73 ratio differentials? I searched and found some questions about it but nothing definative. I checked the diff by turning the driveshaft and counting the DS revolutions to make one...
I am the guy that Justin bought the exhaust from. I gave him his $$ back and had him mail it back to me at my cost so Im out $50 for all the postage. I bought this muffler through 935motorsports and I did not notice the smaller ID of the muffler. It was just actually too loud for my taste...
