I was doing some research and noticed that the R150 5-speed transmission had better gear ratios than the R154. I also found that it will bolt right up to the 1JZ bellhousing! But what I couldn't find is whether or not it would fit under the supra or how much HP it could handle.
I have the driver, passanger, and back seats for sale from my 89 Supra. I don't know how much they usually go for and I'm trying to make some money off of this so I can finish my 1JZ swap!
Ok, after the parts have soaked for a while in the break cleaner do I rinse the break cleaner off with anything? And I'm talking about cleaning out the intake manifold and exhaust manifold to so would I use break cleaner for that also? (I must sound like an idiot!)
Now here comes the next stupid question! What's SAFC? I do want to go with a standalone ECU tho cuz I could just leave it at stock settings and play around a little bit!
Alright, so I've got it pretty much torn down. I was thinking of cleaning everything, would it help to let some of the pieces soak and would I just soak it in plain water or should I add something to it???
For my 1JZ that I'm trying to swap into my supra I have a stock ecu, normal HKS F-con, and an HKS GCC. And with me not knowing much of what I'm doing, I think thats alot of computers! My question is: is there a way I can controll all of that in one computer?
:1zhelp: Well now I'm having a bit more of a problem!!! I've been trying to pull the engine apart and there seems to be a million hoses. I'm currently taking the intake manifold off and I'm afraid to disconnect most of the hoses cuz I don't know what they do!!!
Alright, so I'm new to this forum and I've got a 1JZ sitting in my garage. I've slowly been finding info on it but would like to tear it down! I need to know torque specification so I can put it back together right. I'd like to know the torque specification for as many of the bolts as you guys...
