My FFIM pics (a little better this time)

Thanks for the kind words bud! Its really nice to hear from someone who actually understands the kind of trouble involved with doing something like this. Most guys have no idea, and are very quick to talk it down. Before the spool gun I just had a Miller Econo-tig, its since took a dump and is...

My FFIM pics (a little better this time)

Already have sold two, but thanks for the tip. As for "risking your engine" ummm....I don't see how. I haven't seen any flow numbers on any aftermarket manifold available other than Rons (at least not supplied from the manufacture) If I made some totally abstract looking manifold, I could see...

My FFIM pics (a little better this time)

The top of the stock ports where the stock plenum flange bolts up, is prolly (estimating...I didn't measure it, so I don't need to be corrected those of you who like to do that):naughty: about 1 5/8" or so, anyways, I blended it from that to about 2.5" or so it the top of my stack. Its a smooth...

My FFIM pics (a little better this time)

Thanks a lot! Like I said, it is an aquired skill for sure. Its very easy to screw the whole thing up. I can't wait to get some numbers on this thing, although I am more interested in seeing dyno numbers than a flow chart. Both are important, but I have no doubts in my mind that this thing will...

My FFIM pics (a little better this time)

Good question...I guess I just didn't want to copy Ron's design first of all. Then I wanted a design that would bring the largest volume of air possible into the plenums opening, then I wanted it to be tapered, then I wanted it to not just be a blunt flange welded to the runners, I wanted the...

My FFIM pics (a little better this time)

Are you friggin' kidding me??? I blended that baby out to baby butt smooth perfection. Its almost like velocity stacks in there. You must not have looked at the third picture??? It should flow extremely well.

why must the turbo oil feed/return be 12/6 o clock?.....

physics my dear...physics. You need as straight un-ubstructed path for the return, so that it does not create any backpressure. Also why the return lines are so much bigger than the inlets.

Does anyone have hook ups for a hand lapping tool?

Are you talking about a valve lapping tool? If so all it is, is a friggin stick with a suction cup on the end. You can prolly pick one up cheaply from NAPA, or something.

    7MGTE in a Civic Hatch???

No, steering rack and cross member are right in the way of the transmission, there would be know way around it. Well, maybe not around it (but maybe go over it) just thinking out loud. If I have the thing slammed down and tubbed, the driveline would have to run up inside the car anyways, so...

    7MGTE in a Civic Hatch???

I am curious to see what they are doing for the steering, with the stock setup it would be impossible. Hell, I'll steer the thing with ropes tied to the control arms if I had to:biglaugh:

    7MGTE in a Civic Hatch???

That thing is nucking futs! I think I would tub my hatch so the slicks could be tucked. Its already all cut out and just has a layer of fiberglass from just behind the front seats to the rear bumper. So it would be pretty easy to do. The saddest part would be parting with the custom four link in...

    7MGTE in a Civic Hatch???

Dude, check me out in the Misc. Vendors section of this forum. I put up some pics of the 7M mani's I just built. Other than that I could show you hundreds of projects (but most of them are Honda related) I'm just getting into the MK3 stuff, so I don't have a lot to show. But believe me when I...

    7MGTE in a Civic Hatch???

Yeah, that is so not the one from out here in Oregon. That one in the pic looks photoshopped. The small block one out here has a blower on it and everything and it still doesn't stick up that far.

    7MGTE in a Civic Hatch???

Theres a CRX like that out here in Oregon, some shop in West Salem, maybe the same one you are talking about? Watched it race a time or two, its all sorts of squirl-ly going down the strip! I loved it, could use some beautifying though. My hatch is clean as hell. Would be a kick ass project...

    7MGTE in a Civic Hatch???

Hey guys, I had a crazy ass idea today while sittin' on the shitter:naughty: Anyways, I no longer have my MK3, but I do have the 7M. I also have my old Drag Chasis sitting in my garage collecting dust (a 95 Civic hatch, caged, fiberglass from the rear qp's forward, lexan windows, gutted, 4 link...
