I've had bad solder joints in my climate control. I couldn't figure out why my A/C just wouldn't work.....
...on mine, it was the joints where the body connectors were attached to the circuit board.
I agree with this one.
If he's going to put a 2JZ-GTE into his SC300, he's going to have to do just as much wiring as putting the 1JZ into his SC300.
Hell, he could use the bottom end in the SC300, and make a 1.5JZ SC300. That would be sweet.
Yeah, I run a Profec B Spec II right now. It's a decent unit, I just want to try something else. I'm growing tired of re-tuning the PBII every time the temperature changes around here.
JZA80 diff would require a whole bunch of fabrications.
talk to jawsgear. He can get you a 3.54 ring and pinion for like $200. That will work well with the V160.
It has a lot more than combinations than just 4 fuel maps. It can also overlay additional maps ontop of those 4 maps, making for a lot of combinations :)
BTW, they also have external dials that you can purchase to hook up to the V-Pro. They are software programmed to do just about anything...
The knock sensing is now working. It won't auto-tune it because my idle is so erratic. I can't manual tune it right now because it's winter, and I have 205s in the car, and I can't boost in snow. Other than that, it does a good job.
It uses the factory knock sensors, yes. It uses an NTK...
Holy crap is that car ever clean!
And that's some nice power too. Thats exactly how I pictured a T04Z to react on a 2J :)
What sort of exhaust A/R were you running?
It's not a vacuum problem. It's literally running off my intake manifold through 2 feet of tubing right to my BOV. It's probably the spring. The problem is the newer BOVs aren't adjustable. I'm going to have to fing a replacement spring for it.
I'm going to borrow my friend's older...
Momentum.
Lots of weight to get moving. So you hit the gas, and because of the LSD, you overpower BOTH wheels, your rear-end now has no traction, and it just slides down teh natural curve of the road.
Is the block in your 87 any good? Frankenmotor!
I feel your pain. My friend blew the motor in his MKI Supra, I found one in teh junkyard, and had gotten 90% through the motor swap only to find out the new motor had more metal in the pan than the old one.
You should try my R154 with 80w-90 when it's -20C outside.
rrrrrrrrrrrrrr....CHUNK....rrrrrrrrrr.
Haha, I love the feeling too.
I think I have a bent shift fork though. 1sn and 2nd are bitches to get in gear.
Also take a look for broken or cracked solder joints. There's a reason the caps blew in the first place. It's a good idea to just re-solder ALL connections on the board. It doesn't take more than 20-30 minutes with a soldering iron. It can be very tricky or impossible to spot all of the broken...
