Well.. going to stay with stock ECU and the AFM for now. If I do shift up, it will be full bore. I generally like to overbuild my car..
I think its called being on a fool's quest... just dumping cash into the car. I dont short-cut if I can help it. (mind you.. I am not building for 1000 HP...
I have the Spec 2+ clutch. Holds really well, but I find that I get a bit of shudder while downshifting. Probably because I am running stock flywheel with just a refresh. Good clutch though, holds super well.
I think I may drive too nicely which is why I get that tiny shudder... when the roads...
Just to update...
60-1 CT26 now on the car and no smoking issues. DM 7MGTE Intercooler is sitting in a box behind me right now with a genuine HKS SSQV-4 bov. Hoping to have that on the car in a week or so (too much snow falling lately to move the car anywhere).
As for the octane, I will be...
I just got the DM intercooler (new, because there are 2 types for 7M there). Will let you know how the install goes. My worry with the 200.00 eBay one is the pipe material. The DM version looks to be pretty sturdy.
Why are you looking at just a turbo elbow? Are you already 3" DP and catback?
Really? i thought the BBK were meant more for track cars, not street drivers. Mine are brand new, but the old ones were about 8 years old (pads and rotors) and the only reason I changed them out was that I wanted a fresh system and I have had 3 times where the brakes wouldn't engage correctly...
Well in Canada, they will want to toss you in jail and possibly castrate you for breaking 150 kph.... lol. I think in the USA they just pull you out of your car and shoot you on sight...
Okay.. off topic just for a breif minute.. but I gotta comment... cant stop watching that pic on the bottom of gurley's sig... its terribly distracting...
Remember.. the guy who hit your car doesnt have any play in this. Nothing you do will damage him at all. That being said... its free to talk to a lawyer. (said that because some people think it will hurt a "nice person" if they go to a lawyer)
Dont sign anything until you are completely happy...
Don't forget shipping... Lol.
I consider it one of the best DDP's on the market for a 7M though. Good welds, very well built. It actually cost me more because I shortened the plate between the wastegate and exhaust be 1/4", made the plate that joins to the turbo perfectly flat (there can be...
7M stock CT26 has a turbo elbow (restrictive). As far as I know, Randy no longer makes the 7M variant. Raptor's product is really nice, however, be prepared to bang back the heat shield where the speedometer comes up past the firewall as the flexpipe is tight in that area (at least it was in...
I got Raptor Racing DDP... simply because I dont trust the ebay stuff and couldn't find a good one with an integrated turbo elbow. BIC had one, but I dont think he makes it for a 7M anymore... I assume your with a 7M
for the cost of that DP though.. makes me wonder how long it will last.. but...
I put on brembo rotors, stock calipers, SS brake lines.. flushed fluids.. and it stops perfectly fine. 150 kph, and I had to hammer the brakes.. no fade.. perfect.
I have always been impressed with the stock MK3 brake. Its very durable and effective as opposed to some of the newer vehicles that...
okay.. you typed it... you didn't "say" it.. and I aint giving you my phone number either.
(and.. just in case you were not being facetious... yeah.. its not worth 50 grand... I could dump 200k into it.. and it still wouldnt be worth 50 grand... but it is insured for 40k.)
Well.. that part is probably already circumvented. Normally you have two hoses running to it.
Funny how the TSRM has no mention of it that I can find.
if you go to this link.. go to AC-36 and you will see a pic of its location/hook-up (ableit.. small)...
