dont bother trying to use steel blades on the c12a it adds lag into the mkiv range either spend the 1000$ to rebuild them or buy a set of headers 200 + a turbo on ebay about 4-800 depending on taste. The 1000 will get you stock or the single which will add a lot of power.

i have +38 on 17's get + 35 it is more flush and fits better and you wont need a spacer to get it flush later.

VVTI is extremely expensive and complicated to tune if you have deep pockets dont worry though. Most every day tuners stay away from it so if you decide to buy an engine and dont have deep pockets dont go vvti unless you leave it 95% stock. hmm no one mentioned motec ems its pretty good also...
