I assume those are the uninstalled OD's for the tubes Cyrus? Do you expect them to stretch much once they are installed? I remember hearing with the mishimoto silicone hoses that they have to be stretched to a fair degree to get them over the outlets therefore increasing the actual OD the clamp...
What he means is the point where the strut attatches to the suspension is closer to the fulcrum of the suspension arm than the wheel, therefore the wheel moves up and down further than the strut does at any given time.
Also just because he can measure the difference between where the perches...
Did you get the full 26pc kit Cyrus or one of the smaller kits? Curious if the full kits come with the molded hoses that splinter off of the accordion.
It looks almost identical to my paint, pm me Red if you want the code. Its a full tri-color but I have the paint code to a single stage/base clear that is very close as well.
It just frustrates me that with such an obvious issue such as the top pipe that they haven't eventually fixed it, its not like it would cost more to produce. If they fixed it in the second kit even that would have been fine, but same shit different asshole. They went back to the drawing board...
5hp on a stock application. Power adders don't work off strait number figures they do it by a %.
Also most of these rediculously high horsepower vehicles arent daily driven so heatsoak is less of a concern. Also please note that the stock intake is technically a cold air intake. I do agree...
Indeed, I haven't even bothered going on for some time now just because I figure its pointless to leave it sitting and running and having one person come and go before I come back. I miss old FlashChat.
One thing that always made me heasitant about buying one of these kits is that half the cars I see running them the upper pipe that replaces the 3K pipe is all out of whack. It looks like they're pried upwards at where it goes into the fender. I don't know if its just shitty instalation or the...
The green truck bushing iirc is actually made of 2 different rubbers, black and green. I was worried about it seperating so I rotated it in, it may or may not make a difference if it seperates but I figure better have it not.
Good guide man. I replaced mine with a stock bushing instead, its equally a pain in the ass to rotate in. Makes one hell of a difference vs the 20+ year old chewed up cookie crumbs that were in there.
One thing I was pondering was putting a smallish hose (1" or 3/4") somewhere on the intake piping and routing it somewhere else that still gets cold air but no water. That way I figure if the main intake gets a gush of water and tries to suck up the water it would draw air through the secondary...
