that plug goes to the temp probe on EGR, but if your not running EGR then dont worrie about it.

where is the flex section on the down pipe? cause if its under the car, it should be smoking under your car, if its in the down section, then if your smoking then you might have a problem in your engine, what color smoke are you getting?

yup, total rebuild time, any rod that start knocking, its just alot easyer to tear it all out and put it all back together new.

i use aeroquip hoses on all my trucks, and i havent had any problems yet, and we all know how diesel will eat hoses faster then gas will. and no problems as of yet.

well, i do know that the Pre 96s did have a karmen vortex sensor, cause i have it right in my hand, but, will it work on 7mgte? i even called my buddy who dose work for toyota, and he even told me that the pre96s came with these, and the post96s (OBDII) came with a hot wire maf.

my buddy is currently doing a GTE swap on his wifes MKIV, so, there just getting rid of the 2jzGE, and was noticing the MAF on it. Now all i did was look at it, and noticed that it had the same connector style as the MKIII one, and it seems to be about the same size. if anyone has anymore...

update, found out what was wrong, one of the pins on the ECU connector back off, it was the NE line for the CPS was shorting out in the wiring harness, got it fixed, runs like a charm.

well, thats why i just dont get, cause when i bring it up to TDC (crank all the way up at 0), and making sure that both the cams are strait up.. the two little marks on the cam gears, and the cams them selfs in the middle holes. pulling the CPS off. and making sure its drilled hole is aligned...

yup, pulled it up to TDC at the crank, then installed it with the drilled hole at the grove in the CPS, and checked what i can from the CPS, i dont have wires long enough to check all the way back to the ecu, witch i would like to do, but i do know that they arnt shorted out to the body and all..

yes, did a compression test, verration from high to low was only 7PIS. No.1 - 178 No.2 - 173 No.3 - 175 No.4 - 176 No.5 - 171 No.6 - 176 and yes, did it with a timing gun, put it in diagnostic mode just like the guide says to do. ive tryed just holding it down and cranking, and it is blowing...
