I don't remember the calipers having a o-ring... I remember a copper washer. As far as I can recall that's a very simple fix. You may have lost the copper washer.
Here if someone works in your brakes and they fail, they get sued...
Cochrane is one of my cruise-throughs. I usually do Calgary-Cochrane (Deerfoot route), through Cochrane and then the back way to 22x. Top off and flying... lol. :)
(of course.. last year.. no go for me as RCTS stole my car... they promise to give it back this summer)
They gave me an excellent review of what they found when they took it apart so I knew what all my issues were.
To me that was critical as a reference.
Then they gave me a full rundown of what they did.
No questions when it's all in black and white!
Plus they gave me step by step break in and...
I am running the Spec 2+ pressure plate with an OEM disc for now. Mine grabbed well, but shuddered on take off more than I liked. Will need to go higher later, once I find my power levels.
Went to the shop to see my car, decided on venting the BOV to atmosphere for the sound (seeing as I am not...
Also, you should be able to defeat the ABS by releasing the brake and pressing again (old school). Havent tried it on the Supra because I don't drive on loose gravel/snow/ice/water... lol. But on my Tundra, if I do that, the ABS will be bypassed. Its just being aware of it. So.. in those rare...
I have a spacer/adapter for 5x100 to fit on a 5x114.3 (Supra) hub. They aren't cheap though. I believe the 5x100 wheels with rubber and the adapter was 2400.00. Think the adapters were like 75.00 a pop.. (300 for a set of 4)
You talking about how they feel in the normal road ruts?
225's felt like regular wheels, wider and sometimes it feels like I'm riding on the crest of a hill. Because the sidewalls are so inflexible, it's the one thing I dislike. I kinda let the car tell me where to be on the roadway for the...
I called a decision on my car. Rebuilt r150 went on with the Spec2+ and an OEM clutch disc for initial dyno/tuning. No idea what I will need as a final clutch setup. Had twin disc recommended but I think that would make driving in traffic a bit too harsh. Spec recommends a stage 5 clutch if I...
Ask a Toyota dealership about the Orings for the heatercore, they will know what your talking about.
Personally, I refused to do this myself because I have a habit of losing screws and cracking old plastic... Lol
Centerforce are excellent, not sure about for Turbo high powered though because I have not heard of anyone running it.
All Spec, RPS and ACT do is add a heavier spring for increased clamp force. From research, the rest is disc makeup (material). This is a complex area really compared to all my...
The Spec 2+ is max 500 torque I think and I believe I will be near that with the setup I have. That doesn't mean I'm going to be running full out but I do like to overbuild slightly to be safe.
I have never had a car this powerful, so this is all new to me. I have to decide this week on what I...
I am attaching photos of the Spec 2+ Clutch I have for my car. (less than 5000 km on it)
Just wondering what your guys thoughts are on this clutch. I found it seemed to hold very well, however I had a shudder when starting and when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd or 2nd to 1st.
There is an odd...
