lol, this reminds me of when I bought a whole box of used hoses that were "still supple...".
My Mek-a-Nik grabbed the box, rifled through them and threw them into a can behind him. Then he looked at me and said, "I like your car, don't ever do that again..."
Heater core is booked at 9 hours for R&R by a Trained Toyota mechanic. Some claim they can do it in under an hour... I didn't even try.. just shelled out a grand to have it done. I would pick up a replacement core and the O-rings prior to starting though. You want to make sure you replace the...
They are definitely clean and they coat them afterwards as well. Keeping my Spec 2+ clutch but replacing the disc with an OEM clutch disc. I find that the 6 puck design gives me a shudder that I really wanted to avoid.
Now I can setup the Nashman 2 shifter properly :)
Im guessing that this R154 will outlive the car.. lol. Its the original transmission and this is the first time its been opened up. 200,000 km since 1988.
I don't think I will put that type of mileage on it seeing as I am lucky to do 5000 km in a year.
It may not be legal to remove your cat, but if your going 3" you should get a 3" cat as well. I removed mine only because legally I can and I only drive 3-5000 km a year. (If lucky) plus it gets people angry... Lol

Don't know full shipping costs yet, because mine was shipped along with 2 V160s for rebuilds.
It's on its way home right now. All my synchros were pretty well shot but the gears were in great shape. Because they took longer to finish they did a stage 3 build for 1300'ish CDN. Won't know final...
The only thing I don't like about the 7MGE engine being turbo'd (7MGE-T) is the oil squirters don't exist on the GE. Not sure if you can add those, probably can but I haven't walked that path.
Haven't heard from Flateric for over a year. I think I was talking to him on text beginning of 2013 as I was sourcing out parts.
I think there are about 6 Supra people in Calgary (including Airdrie-Cochrane-Okotoks). I have met a few so far.
Its odd... I have sold a 90 Red MK3. No idea where...
I love the 88 nose on your car. Sometimes I wish I had kept mine that way.. :)
Well.. I still have mine in the garage hanging on the wall if I need.. lol. Your wheels rub at all with that set up? No wheel gap and not total slamnation... nice height.
Just got word.. Jack Transmission has shipped my R154 home (along with 2 V160's accompanying it). Because it took a bit long, they ended up doing a Stage 3 build on it for the price of the Stage 2. Gotta love that.
I asked them to note condition of the transmission to see if the money was worth...
Just a note... Long term, metal head gasket is a no-brainer for any 7m... However... You need to lap the block to a precise finish to use that. ARP head studs + MHG = no head gasket issues. (If done properly)
That is proper and most expensive route.
Oem headgasket is far less involved but...
Stock clutch in a Supra is totally fine. With a 7mge (NA) build I would get to know rock auto (website for oem parts if available), Driftmotion for aftermarket and oem and find the online TSRM. (Would link it but I'm on cell).
You don't need to overbuild a NA Supra really, unless you plan to...
