If you can lessen the rotating masses, i.e. the pistons, rods and crank you can rev as high as you want to as long as you have the valve springs to handle it. I've seen 7200rpm and it still wanted to keep going. Of course if you keep running those rpms in a 7m, 1j or 2j, you're asking for trouble.
You have to have some way to tune like a piggyback, i.e. Maft-Pro, to get the most out of everything. I think you can get by with the stock ecu, injectors, etc. But with spending those kind of bucks I would want to get the most out of the extra stroke, which means supporting mods. I went 60 over...
I have the IPP stroker kit. You definatly should consider light weight pistons, rods, and the crank flycut to get your rotating masses down. And everything balanced. There is a few other things to consider also but you probably already know that.
Well you know I live in Tennessee, my "go go" juice of choice is moonshine not only runs like a "bat out of hell" you can get a pretty good buzz off the exhaust:)
OK I'll try that CRE and see what it does. I know it's one of the things we talked about before, not really a big issue as. I think it ought to give me at least another 50 hp;)
OK lets see if this will "fly". Reset your ECU. See if you still throw the TPS code, probably will. Then set it according to the TSRM. Just swapping parts will probably not fix it, they are wear items and have to be recalibrated once in awhile especially if you go swapping them around.
Sound...
If you check the link to CS that Raptor noted for some reason he didn't think the Stainless was necessary, just coated. The stainless would be more I'm sure, I know they sure look nice.
The coated would help hold down the heat to imporant parts wouldn't it? I'm more concered with a proper...
I looked at the set that was on the Celica forum and the looked to be pretty nice work.
If the issues that were addressed in the other thread and here I'd say sounds like a plan.
I would gauge interest in a group buy, you know things are pretty tight right now with most people, me included...
I disagree with part of your statement ^^. Everybody is not an expert. They might have opinions but it doesn't make us/them experts. There was a thread started by Defiant, discussing the design of a good header for the GE. The thread as MA70 pointed out I think yesterday that it kind of died. A...
