    Another knock sensor problem

Your dealer is correct. You only need the green half of the connector you get. ;) You need two of them.

Update: 7/12/09- White car stripped for paint

Some progress in the stripping of the black car. Still need to pull the brake lines from the engine bay and drop the front cradle/steering rack. (That will be done when I drag the car out into the driveway, most likely.) As for the interior, I've stripped the dash area pretty clean. Just...

    Toyota Red Coolant = ?

The previous owner of my black car (who was an idiot) put green in there, then mixed the red in. The result was disgusting! It was like a muddy mess in my cooling system. :(

    Jimi's build update

That sucks! Those bastards! I think machining it down would work fine, so long as it's done properly. With a stock AFM, you'll be running very, very rich. Likely too rich to tune out with an AFPR. You'd likely be causing the injector spray pattern to suffer quite a bit by dropping pressure...

    Another knock sensor problem

Faulty knock sensors/wiring will not prevent the car from starting/idling/driving. When the code is present, you will experience a sluggish vehicle overall, perhaps a bit worse fuel mileage, but nothing that will keep the car from otherwise normal operation.

    my oil cooler setup

With a well maintained, upgraded cooling system, I don't see any problems with it. 3p brings up some other good points as well. I wouldn't run this on a stock cooling system, though. That's just asking for trouble.

Update: 7/12/09- White car stripped for paint

No Update! Heh, man, I crack myself up. I was going to start stripping the interior last night, but I got sidetracked looking at wiring diagrams. LOL. Maybe I'll start tonight...

While this would be a cool bit of information, it's merely hearsay at this point. Without proof, I refuse to believe it.

Yes, if any of your intercooler piping has cracks/leaks, it will cause a decrease in boost pressure. Get that fixed, and chances are that you'll have your full 8psi again.

Best make sure your cooling system has extra capacity. I still prefer the external cooler/t-stat.

I assume you're talking about the manual boost controller? If so, I would check all of your intercooler piping, as a sudden drop in boost pressure is likely to be a boost leak. With pressurized air leaking out, chances are you're not building full boost, hence, the drop in pressure on your...
