Jayhall- as SideWinder stated, it's easy. One screw and it's out. It's not likely that sitting in storage would kill it, unless somehow liquid leaked on it and corroded it. I guess it could happen...
SideWinder- Yeah, especially since the carpet was pretty nice, too. Are you sure that the...
1) Reduces electrical "noise" from showing up in elsewhere in your electrical systems, etc...
2) Grab a new connector from someone with a parts harness. Solder or crimp on, voila. Make sure that whichever connection type you use, that it's 100% waterproof!
Don't forget to put FIPG in the required areas when doing the cam covers! (and torque PROPERLY!)

Hellooooooo Kathy! (Cathy?)
Me, today after I got home from a business meeting that was actually pretty cool:
Edit: Damn, I'm dorky! LOL!
Edit2: In reply to Mo's comment below- The goddamn tie was choking the shit out of me all fucking day. I loosened that bitch as soon as I stepped into my...
Mechanical/clutch fan > electrics. Not worth the risk, in my opinion.
As for dual stock IC's, not worth it. You'd be better off with a Spearco replica or something along those lines. (or a Cartech if you can find one)
Thanks! :)
However, Ian had the pan first, so maybe you should return the head to it's rightful pan! ;)
And I don't think I'll ever need cash enough to sell this gem!
Octane booster isn't likely to do a whole hell of a lot. The run-of-the-mill off the shelf crap in usually just that... crap.
The first step even before posting here is to check codes. Always.
Yes, it's a single screw on the bottom of the blower motor housing that holds it in. Make sure you screw it back in there securely! If you don't, the resistor WILL fall out, and it gets VERY hot. It WILL melt your carpet. :( Ask me how I know. :(
By the way, nice job on the searching. ::w00t::
Added this to my collection of cool/rare parts today:
I'm fairly certain that my first born child will use this as a crib if I ever blow my motor. It. Is. Incredible. Thanks, Ian!
Yes, late '89 ECU's have gray plugs. ;) There is also a company called GANG that made a speed cut remover. I have one of those, and it's the only one I've ever seen.
HKS speed cut defencer, or the GANG unit I mentioned above.
I don't have that P/N in my list. This is the closest I have to...
Nah, but since I got a new Supra chassis and will be using the r154, I now have a stage 3 clutch and lightweight flywheel that'll be going in the pickup. All I have to do now is source 5m mounts and build the damn motor!
