i'd take it back if i were you a get your $$$. i had my car dyno last year and untuned made 295 rwhp and 309 lbs of torque. Imagine what a good 2 hrs of tune can do from someone who knows how to tune correctly. I probably hit 315-325.
I'm still on stock twins and 90 percent of the time the car is on boost but still get decent gas mileage. Single or twins, if you don't floor it all the time you will get good gas mileage just my 2 cents.
Good call, probably best to take it to a rad shop and have them clean it. So synthetic fluid can be used in our power steering. I didn't know for sure as the TSRM calls for ATF Dexron fluid.
Thanks.
I just picked up a 7m oil cooler that I want to use as PS cooler. What is the best way to clean it good and remove all the old oil and gunk it may have build up before I use it. As for fluid, would you recommend synthetic fluid for power steering or just use Dexron III?
Thanks.
Reaper - curious on how the 440cc injectors with the 60-1 turbo works. I have the same thing that I will eventually install. Are you keeping the boost under 14psi or you're looking to get more out of it? I know someone from celicasupra.com running the same setup and dynod at 433rwhp but I don't...
I say ECU cuz I had the same problem with the smoke and fuel out the exhaust. I sent my ecu to Aaron to replace all the bad caps and car runs great and have not had a problem related to running rich.
Very nice indeed and welcome. Believe it or not it is COLD here now in Orlando , current temp is 40 degrees prolly not as cold where you are but damn this is supposed to be the sunshine state... LOL
happy new year .... i know i had fun boostin' with the twin last year and i'm pretty sure it will be a blast when i install my garrett 60-1 this year :biglaugh:
I'm running a 2jz clutch fan with stock rad and never had a problem even in the summer with the ac on. I had a working hydrofan setup in my clip but converted to 2jz as I did not want to take a chance of the hydrofan braking and ending up costing more $$ sourcing a replacement.
I used to shift every 3500rpm with poor gas mileage. Then I tried keeping the rpm at 3k for the first 3 gears and the mileage improved quite a bit. I agreed with Drewgo 1J runs more efficient in that range and when you are ready to get more boost that's when i go nuts and shift the next gears...
