I say do it. If you can store the car for 4-5 months that gives you that much time to save the money, buy the motor, and rebuild it. For a stock 7MGTE that's plenty of time. As for the cost, $3500 is way more than I would expect to spend. I found a running 7MGTE in a local wrecking yard for...
I use a deep 14mm socket and a 6" extension from the front to hold the bolt in place. Then I use a stubby ratcheting wrench to remove the bolt from the back.
I'll fix your 7M for the girl on the right in your sig.:naughty: Seriously though it would be better just to buy another 7M and rebuild it. If you can do most of the assembly yourself it won't be too expensive and the motor will be reliable.
I'm glad you got that fixed! Might want to read this before you think you have warped rotors. http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp_warped_brakedisk.shtml
I love the Shaftmasters 1-piece. Even on an NA the difference is noticeable and I have not had a single problem with it. If they made one for the MKII I'd buy that too.
LOL. That's what I was going for originally but it kind of backfired. The poor car is so beat up nobody even gives me a...

It was an '88 Pulsar, now it's a scrap pile with a really nice interior. On my daily commute to CSUN I was stopped in traffic and got...
Welcome to SM! I voted exhaust, you should enjoy driving the car for a while before you do a turbo swap. Even an NA Supra is a lot of car compared to most in it's price range.
That's an ungodly amount of air. Screw the engine, just pull the car with the fan. Bear in mind, though, that CFM rating are with no load. Most manufacturers say that CFMs will drop between 15% and 20% when pulling air through the radiator.
Maxima e-fans flow 1200-1500 CFM with a maximum Amp draw of 22.5A. Taurus fans move 2500-3800 CFM but pull 46.5A on high setting. You'd probably need a bigger alternator.
I used to work for a school district as a computer technician. Teachers are by far the most technology illiterate demographic in America. I was called into a classroom because a computer wouldn't turn on. So I walk in, push the power button, nothing happens. I look under the table to see if...
