    Compression ratio and engine heat

Did you check your fan clutch? EDIT: Actually, now that I think about it, is 200 as high as it goes? Normal is around 195 as I recall, 200 really shouldn't be cause for concern.

My last bit of denial before the HG Job.

The cooling system is pretty straight forward. If the radiator, thermostat, and waterpump are in good condition, the car should run fine without overheating. If it is overheating, and you own a MKIII, it's time to check the headgasket. Gunk on the underside of your oil cap is a good indicator...

There is such a thing as DOT4 fluid. DOT3 will be fine.

Definitely a short. Have you done any wiring modifications or wired anything into the harness recently?

    ST Anti-Sway Bar Kit

I use the ST bars, they're a great improvement over stock. I've heard that the Whitelines are better but for a street application the ST's are more than sufficient.

The Right Brain vs Left Brain test

You can find out the same thing with an eye dominance test. Go a while with one eye covered with a patch, then switch to your other eye and perform a similar series of tasks. Right-brained people are left-eye dominant and have trouble functioning correctly with the left eye covered and vise-verse.

Check out this list of the best NEW gas savers

Ford Fusion gets 20/29 estimated. I know some people who own them and they get better mileage than that. The list also neglects the Cobalt, the Focus, and a few other small, economical cars that get excellent gas mileage but nobody buys.

    Connecting Rods

Stock rods are generally good for 500HP. If your power goals exceed that buy Eagles or Pauters.

Shocking. No, really, what could that upright bunch have done wrong?

I'd Like to Bring the MKIII Up to Date

Will it say "Good morning, Dave" when you get in it too? I think push button start is kind of worthless. Same with the FOB deal. I've seen them work in other cars and they're neat for a while but it's really just a novelty gizmo. Besides, I like the reassuring "ker-chlunk" you get when you...

    n/a front mount intercooler

Epic thread is epic. An intercooler is a part with an obvious purpose for existence. It is staggering how many people do not understand how it works. I only wish that this was the first time I've seen this done or discussed. Sadly I see it fairly regularly.

    Light Weight Vs. Stock flywheels

If you're making over 600hp you probably wouldn't even notice the difference. Besides, at that power level durability becomes a major concern and durability takes precedence over weight.

What Clutch Do You Think Is Suitable?

Try a Centerforce II. I've been running one for about 10k miles now and haven't had a single issue. I know they don't have much of a reputation with the import crowd but it's a decent upgrade for an NA.
