I completely agree with Larry. 400whp is not all that easy for most Supra owners, and 600whp+ is just unnecessary. Funny that no one mentions midrange hp or driveability. You have to sacrifice a little of both to get to 600+whp, so to me that's not even a reasonable goal for anything but a drag car.

I would wrap it with exhaust wrap next time, they can take some heat, but if it's right next to the manifold it will eventually fail.

I have Ross pistons in my own engine, and I really don't like them very much. They are noisy, and it started burning oil in the #6 cylinder at 20k miles. I don't know when Ross became the standard to judge all other pistons by. We built several engines with JE pistons and they worked great...

I wish I had more pics to post, but it's a waiting game at the moment. One devellopment though, I took my Supra for a drive today, it was the first time in months. I forgot how good it handles and how much fun it is to drive. Gave me something to look forward to.

I just measured a Ross piston at the shop, it's only .260" thick in the center. The skirt is .2" thick! The Ross piston feels unusually heavy to me :dunno:

An old stock 7m engine oil cooler works great for a power steering cooler! Don't run without a cooler unless you like replacing bad ps pumps and racks, and/or loosing the power assist at random while you are driving.
