You might want to check with your insurance company to see what the difference in cost would be between your Supra and the Ford. If it costs you more to insure the Taurus balance that in relation to your fuel costs. It still might be better for you to stay with your Supra and be happy.
Certainly did not take it as an insult. I was smiling when I read it and I was smiling when I responded. Just throwing some more support for the great progress Kenny is making.
Congratulations on your running 2J, 'cheap" is a word that doesn't apply to a good MKIII build. I also have a SC300-5...
Yeah, but his is running, looks great and he IS having fun with it! Keeps all of us waiting for our builds to be done entertained and dreaming about the day. Besides power and speed comes with time, R&D and $$$$.

Car is coming along great, Kenny, you KNOW we're gonna meet up someday to introduce the 91 twins!
Mike
Hey Mike, you ought to make that '91 triplets. The three of us have basically the same Supra--smart choice!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Kenny! Thanks for the friendship on here, you do make a great contribution to SM and I'm sure to everyone that is a part or your life Enjoy your day.

I believe that the Beech Q45 TB TPS adaptor was designed so that you could use the stock 7M GTE TB TPS with the Q45 TB without having to do any rewiring.
Good luck with your wiring, I trust that you can get it straightened out and working well.
As far as issues with the Q45, I honestly...
As I recall the problem was with the drivability with the Q45. As far as the wiring I don't know, but have you considered using the Beech Q45 adaptor for the stock TPS on the Q45?
Hey Van, if you need a CPS send me a PM w/ your address. I have one off of my '91 that was working fine. I bought a new one for my current build along with a billet cover from AZP so I also have the new cover. Also have the stock ECU if you still need one.

Just as a side note, as I remember from doing some reading on here there were some members that were having problems with using a Q45. It's a very big TB and after talking to the man doing my build I opted to go with a 80MM TB w/ a Q45 foot print for my Ron R. FFIM.

I have an OS Giken triple disc clutch on order, when talking to them about it they stated that the flywheel included was heavier than their normal one for a twin. The thinking behind this was to help with lag in a big single turbo. Personally I would spend the money on an ATI Super Damper to...
Hopefully some one can photoshop one for you. Personally the only MKIV front that I really liked was the old Veilside front and body kit. Had a friend with one and it was real nice--for a MKIV.
Hey Kenny, mine has been removed for some time. The important thing is to keep a check valve in the line to maintain 2lbs. of pressure in the tank. I know Dov--MK III 4 me- has posted some info in his build thread about this.
As far as a catch can, I would follow Ian's diagram for routing. I...
I'm going to go this route. Right now I have a check valve on the stock line at the fire wall. I think it's a bad location, kind of like a bomb waiting to go off! I was going to remove the stock line running to the fire wall and old charcoal canister and follow the routing of the euro. design...
Very nice dyno pull Kenny. Car sounds good and looks great! Keep up the good work, watching yours run makes me anxious for my first start up.
If you should head east you are always welcome in Baltimore.
Personally I wouldn't do this. I went that route-copper head gasket, O ringed W/ ARP head studs and it lasted about 600 miles before the BHG. That prompted the total rebuild that I'm still working on. I would take IJ's advice and use a HKS 2MM stopper HG and be happy that I did.
Hey Kenny, good work so far, this has been fun to follow. I do have a question about the info you received on the 4 piston vs. 6 piston fronts, what was their reasoning? I'm asking because I'm about to buy the AZP. big 6 piston-14.2" fronts and the 4 piston 12.9" rears. They are a hefty chunk of...
