The first ones that you posted, the ones that lock. These I'll get in black, I bought a set of the CF finished ones for the SC but I'm not crazy about them. Either set that you posted have to be cut thru the hood to flush mount I believe. Look at the base footprint of each.
More matching...
Hey Marcus, just a quick question about the AeroCatch hood pins. Would you want me to supply a set for install or do you want to supply them? They are something that I would prefer not to have to install on a new CF hood. Since you have a Supra at the shop, locating the pins and catch position...
Sounds like a worthwhile trip. Just seeing Dave H's shop & work would be cool.
Trust you're surviving the snow up there, sounds like it was rough.
As far as the IC, I always thought the bigger the better, especially with your turbo.
Keep posting & I'll keep following.

Looks good Kenny. I am assuming that the front leading edge will be tapered in like Brad's hood. No holes for the windshield washers--I didn't want them anyway since my washer system is on the shelf. Also, I have to comment about the hood struts, you don't really want to use them with a CF...
Kenny, just get 100 printed on gray or black tee shirts, you will sell them. Besides I could use something to remind me of what a MKIII looks like.

Take a good look at the Canton relocation pieces and an Earls T-stat. All of the parts are really nice and well worth the money. I have to thank IJ for his input to me on these parts because they work and ARE well worth the money.

Nice build, I will be following your progress. I have basically the same "Green Bean" sitting for now. Your interior is much nicer!
I have been looking at BoostWerks products for taking the car NA/T and also talked to Seth on here about making a FFIM. Anyway, my project is on hold until I get...
Good man! Another Marylander coming thru. Then when we show up at a local meet we can have matching hoods!---just like Kenny's on the west coast. Now all you have to do is paint your Supra BLACK so you can join the Black Supra club.----Great work on your build Chambers, we will have to meet up...
A raised cowl similar to the one Brad has would be very good. Nothing more or it becomes too offensive, kind of like the bogus Camaro or Mustang hoods.
I actually do have a Seibon CF hood on the SC 300. The first time I drove it at speed the hood scared the hell out of me, flexing and moving...
I would have to say YES to this---just to keep the black '91's the same. If it is done to your specs I would trust that it would be an excellent addition. It also would go with the CF vented HL covers & CF cowl that I already have. Any idea what weave the CF will be?
It's funny that you would...
Thanks for the info, I really like the "Old School" look of your hood. I didn't realize that you were on the East Coast, flying out of Dover AFB? Anyway, Dover is about 1 1/2 hrs. from Balto. so that's an easy drive. I will give him a call.
Thanks again, Fred
Man I love that hood! Have to ask where he had the louvers cut? I had a '59 Jag XK 150 with a full louvered hood that was really nice. If you don't mind I'll try to fine a pic of that hood. I think it was done by some shop in Chicago many years ago. It's funny, I never thought of using a...
This looks like a good project thread Kenny. I will be following your progress, especially since I have a nice new little dent in my otherwise perfect stock hood. Too many days in the shop and something had to happen! I've been waiting for RETRO SPEC to come thru with their raised cowl CF hood...
I always liked what "Toy Fanatic" did with his hood:http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?85924-Vented-hood
I don't know how it would be in the rain, but it looks good IMO. Also like the Stout Hood like "Rodel" uses. Again it might limit the driving to sunny-dry days.

I have a stock radiator off of my '91 5 speed out in the shed taking up space. Don't know for sure if it will work on your car but it might be the same. Let me know if you want to try it. It's in good shape, but has been sitting for about 8 yrs.

Nice read. Good to hear that you're enjoying your Supra, they can provide a life's work and fun.
There is plenty of info available here to help you progress with your car. I know that there are various preferences on suspension components and I have a few that I really like.
You could look at...
