1.2 is a little too small for rebuilds. Many a cracked piston agrees. It makes for great low end power, but without timing control is a recipe for disaster at high boost.
1.4 cometic (titan) at the minimum.
You (or your exhaust shop) need to add a o2 sensor port, and put an o2 sensor in. If you don't, you will get shitty gas mileage.
Any questions, call the shop and I will explain.
Yes the header will work on the supra.
Is the lower section there?
The muffler will be LOUD. I would suggest running a pre-muffler in the stock resonator location.
There is no kit, that is just an example. Supercharger kits tend to run $4000 or more. You can buy a whole turbo motor for less then that, including installation. Even a turbo kit, including all new parts, and a new oil pan is less.
However, if you have $4000, I'll be glad to design you...
I have the new video, but I can't upload it. I need to buy a memory reader or something after work.
It looks like like the old video though, just a quick pull.
new results:
added HKS cams and a lil c16
422rwhp @ 15 psi
Video to come
Stay tuned for 20 psi, still shooting for more...
PS. hardcharger, let us know when you are ready to go 1J.
Cometic.
But I would rather see a good stock HG install, then a shot MHG. Ive seen many MHG that were rush installed on a dirty block and caused minor coolant leaks.
My daily driver 7mgte has a stock Toyota HG, ARP studs @85 ft/lbs, and 216,000 miles and counting.
We still do extension, because I don't like to modify any of the chassis during a swap.
I also like the harness to be easily removal during an engine change, if required, like OEM, say 10 years from now.
Doing the driver side does work though, saves time, and cleans up the engine bay. We...
cool thread, I am subscribing
I recall a mid 13 locally on a stock turbo, with spearco upgrade.
I always argue that people should upgrade the supporting hardware before the turbo. But all too often I see huge 60 trim upgrades on a stock intercooler :eww:
Our 400+hp 1JZ rolled in a short 12 hours after the dyno challenge. He could not get away from work that morning unfortunately.
We went to the dyno shop to see if we could get a dyno sheet even a bit later but it was closed anyway.
Nick M, another person I did not get to meet because I...
